“Yet another awesome experience at Freeport Breast Cancer Centre. Today's team (the A team😉) was Barb, Heather and Dr. Khan. Not only did they walk me through everything but they did so in a calm and reassuring way. Heather even held my hand which was definitely a concierge service I've never received before! ;) Many thanks to EVERYONE at WRHN Chicopee/Freeport for always taking such exceptional care of your patients! 🩷”

“So many helpful people in this building, taking care of the elderly, infirmed and otherwise in medical need to live to their best potential or shuffle this mortal coil with grace and dignity. Trained medical staff alongside volunteers are all ready and willing to assist. Thankfully, public transit will bring you directly to the front door, no need to traverse up the beautiful, but very steep, main driveway.”

“I did really like them at first but over the course of an hour I started liking them a lot less. The building is nice and there's plenty of space, seating, and even a nice outdoor area. However, the accessibility of the bathrooms is bad cause they're so small despite all the space there is in the building, and finding offices is difficult. Also there's no one at all the desks sometimes which is very inconvenient and pretty bad if you have an appointment and everyone everywhere is gone.”

“I stayed at Freeport Campus for over 8 months. I can only say I was treated so kindly. All the nurses were great. I finally went home. This was over 14 years ago. But I just wanted to post a review. Thanks especially to Dr. Esso ❤️just wanted to clarify the prior review was when I was at Grand River king st. Location . Awful.”

“I was at the breast centre for an U/S and mammogram. From check in to leaving the women were so friendly, they communicated through the whole experience. Mammograms have a bad rep. Overall im impressed with our healthcare system for once. You receive an email ahead of time letting you know it's paid parking, where to find the clinic, and the staff are so sweet unlike GRH where they treat you like youre a burden.”

“Shoutout to Michelle, at the EMG/pain clinic, for being absolutely amazing during my visit! She explained every step of the test clearly and with such a friendly, personable attitude that it made the whole experience much less stressful specially living with chronic pain for couple of years now and had a recent MINOCA and my body is going through a lot already. Honestly, if every medical appointment had a Michelle, the world would be a better place. She deserves a raise — or at least a lifetime supply of good coffee :)(Come on, hospital management, do the right thing!) One small suggestion: it would’ve been really helpful to have a warm blanket during the test. I have other health issues, and that little comfort would’ve made a big difference. Still, Michelle’s kindness and professionalism really stood out. Thank you again, Michelle!”

“The Hospice staff took such wonderful care of my loved one in her final days. They also showed care and compassion to the family too. My loved one's stay was brief but they kept her comfortable, clean, and pain free. I was very scared reading reviews when we heard the bed was here. I had no reason to be scared. I wanted to take the time to say the hospice nurses are angels on earth. The room was hospital looking but there was space for a few family members to be at the bedside. Nice big windows and comfortable. The sheets were clean. When my loved one passed they had a few extra touches that were so special. They allowed us as much time as we needed to say good bye. They made a hard and sad experience as positive as it could be.”

“the Grand River Terrace 4th floor geriatric “rehabilitation” is nothing but a place for advanced dementia/Alzheimer pts to go and be treated with no real integrity. I have struggled every day with the trauma of witnessing the neglect and absolutely disgusting behaviour of many nurses and PSW here. The week before my loved ones passing I begged the nurse to have the doctor to assess him for comfort care because of his bed sore and sinking eyes as well as abrupt weight loss and lacking intake of food and drink and was met with nothing. He suffered in his final days, and an arrogant old woman that calls herself a health care provider wouldn’t allow us as a family to be together in the room with him for his final breath. When we finally were with him after his passing and in our grieving, she kept interrupting us asking when we would be leaving. I still struggle with the flash backs of the short last weeks of his life there and the lack of real care.”

“From the moment we were told that my mother would be finishing her life at Freeport Hospital, it was an uncomplicated transition. The staff were open, warm, informative and genuine with their care for all of us. We had many questions for the nurses and doctors involved with my mom. The answered them all and they assured us along the journey. Although it was a difficult time in our lives, in our hearts we knew she was in the right place. The staff helped us make her room her new home, the resource staff came to do crafts with her or just spend time when we were unable to be there. They had hugs and words of solace for the family and prepared us for the inevitable. We even felt the support from the cleaning and dietary staff. A huge thank you and love from our family to the staff and doctors at Freeport Hospital.”
