“Have just returned home after picking up my two pairs of glasses. I love them. The service was pleasing and made the choosing of frames easy. Thank you Minnie for being so helpful. “I took my son to see Dr. Jolene Sun in August for a routine toddler eye exam. I hadn't noted any issues with his vision, and was surprised to hear that he has a lazy eye. Dr. Sun patiently explained that since he is farsighted in one eye, this eye is engaging less in daily activities thereby causing it to deviate inwards. She mentioned that he will benefit from glasses and patching of his strong eye to engage his weaker eye. We immediately purchased glasses and started the patching regiment as suggested. When we saw a pediatric ophthalmologist, Dr. Sun's diagnosis and treatment plan were both 'spot-on.' I am so grateful that despite being followed by an ophthalmologist, Dr. Sun has continued to be involved in my son's vision care. She's been very responsive in answering our questions and seeing him in-clinic when we've had questions or concerns about his glasses and/or patching treatment plan. I have complete trust in Dr. Sun's clinical skill set and we are lucky to have an optometrist in Steveston who has such exceptional pediatric assessment skills since assessing todders who are learning to speak can be very difficult. Further, I can see that she is able to diffrentiate between avoidant behaviours, personality features and actual clinical issues. I absolutely recommend Dr. Sun at Vision Plus and feel fortunate that she is managing my family's vision needs.”Read moreShow less

“I saw an article in Steveston Insider about Vision Plus and wished to support local businesses and also take advantage of their free transitions lenses. I met with Dr. Eugene who was very open and engaging. I then spoke with Inga who was helpful and patient with my selection of frames and explaining how the transitions work. “I have called 2 days in a row. The first time I left a message with my name and number with No call back. Day 2 I was able to talk to someone, and they were going to have the manager call me back as soon as he was done with a customer. No call back. “This is my first time booking appointments for my family, I must say Dr.Jolene Sun is super nice and kind, She cleans the machine before we use it . Moreover, she explains everything and she really cares about what we are concerned about. Especially she take infinite patience when she checks with my two year old girl. Also reception's girl is very nice too, she cleaned everything before we used the machines to check on our eyes. Also, She is very responsible and checks information with us very carefully. Her knowledge, combined with her ability to share that knowledge in a relatable way, is precisely how I hoped to be accommodated when it came to questions regarding something as vital as my vision.
