All new patients will need to put down a deposit at time of booking. If the patient cancels their appointment, the deposit amount will be placed as a credit onto their account and can be used for any other future appointment.

“I was so excited for my first appointment with a nurse practitioner and I went in feeling extremely hopeful and optimistic! That’s why I was so surprised and disappointed when, during that visit, I was told I would have to choose between continuing care with her or staying with my GP. This was so confusing and honestly a bit discouraging. In my mind, there are situations where I would naturally go to my GP. Something straightforward like a throat infection where I’d need a quick assessment or antibiotics. It didn’t make sense to give up that option entirely and financially not good for me either. Because I wasn’t willing to discontinue care with my GP, I didn’t return to Vaida Health, which was really upsetting given how much I had been looking forward to this kind of care. I’m hoping to better understand why this policy exists. I was told the practitioner had recently moved from BC, so I’m wondering if this approach is based on different provincial guidelines or billing structures. I’d like to give the benefit of the doubt, but the experience didn’t sit well with me and left me feeling quite discouraged. Otherwise, the clinic and staff seemed very lovely! “Kristen saw my daughter as a walk-in patient. From booking the appointment to check in to the appointment itself and getting her RX sent off, everything was seamless and every staff member we dealt with was kind, courteous, and professional. Kristen was thorough and treated my daughter kindly and with respect while also doing her due diligence to confirm the diagnosis rather than just write a script and send us on our way.
