“Union Villa became my mother’s home. Soon after arriving, she was befriended by fellow residents and made to feel welcome by staff. There was always a program to attend or an activity to participate in. These kept Mom engaged, happy and active for over 9 years. During the two-plus years of the pandemic, the staff worked diligently, followed mandated health and safety protocols, taking on multiple shifts to ensure the residents were cared for as well as possible. There were challenges, but they persevered. Slowly, but surely and safely, as Public Health permitted, Union Villa brought back volunteers, social time, group activities and more. It was a joy to see the feeling of “home” returning for everyone, staff and residents alike. Even as my mother's health naturally declined with age, she was cared for with compassion. I cannot express enough gratitude for the medical care and attention, physical therapy, dietary attention, outstanding recreational engagement, and spiritual care she received at Union Villa.”

“Would not recommend this home after volunteering on the campus for 3 decades. This place has been close to my heart my whole life. My grandmother being one of the first residents. They now cater to their fiscal agenda over true health, especially since 2020. A far cry from the original intention of this donated land our original communities and churches came together to create. Maria along with the other elusive management are champions and artists of illusion. Currently, there is much education and compassion missing. The picture was taken as the beautiful little, private, garden, bungalows were being destroyed to build a lucrative housing tower. :(”
