“Today I visited Turtle Bay Physiotherapy in Lake County for my first assessment. I won’t go into personal details as to why, but the will say, my experience there was very positive. First off, I’d like to recognize Joy at the admin desk. Joy brings such a kind and caring vibe to the office; she has a very welcoming demeanour which does not go unnoticed and is very much appreciated. As far as my visit, I’ve been looking for a physiotherapist with more of “hands on” technique with some mobilization, manual stretching and soft tissue release. Karen Howieson did just that. I was thoroughly impressed with Karen’s professional abilities, qualifications and variety of supports to aid my pain, and to work with me and assess my needs. I walked away feeling confident and positive about my recovery process. Karen also provided me with a follow up email that had all the exercises with videos she discussed with me. As well, my pain was not as bad as when I first arrived, I left feeling a sense of relief. I did not feel rushed at all and I wasn’t left in a room hooked up to a machine and forgotten about. The clinic was very clean, bright, and organized. I love the fact that this clinic has private rooms rather than a curtain divider, like some clinics have. “I saw Karen today for bunion surgery rehab. Intake was efficient as most information was completed online prior to arrival including credit card and insurance info. Karen also provided an email after that contained videos of exercises. This is much better than getting paper. The office is clean and modern. “Years ago I had a very bad physio experience, and reserved judgment on this visit. I told Karen about my bad experience and she eased my mind, was very friendly, very knowledgeable and explained everything as we went through the initial assessment. She was totally honest and told me I was going to hurt after. I have ready booked 2 subsequent visits with her and I am looking forward to starting my healing process. The office is nice and bright and they use private rooms for their clients which is far better than an open room with curtains! It's nice to have that sense of privacy. (Far more relaxing if attached to a machine) They direct bill direct so no out of pocket expenses to have to be reimbursed for. I would recommend.”Read moreShow less
