I have been going to Toothworks for just over 4 years now and team has been great. If you are looking for a dentist I highly recommend Dr Sam and his team.A shout out to Ashley my hygienist, she is so professional and personable. A stress free experience.

I broke a tooth and couldn't get in to see my regular dentist. I called Toothworks because they are near my work and have been around a long time. They were not only able to check it out immediately, they were able to fill it at the same visit. I was so grateful because it had been bothering me. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the dentist did a phenomenal job on the filling. I can't recommend them enough and am considering moving to their clinic for my future dental needs.

Dr.Sam and his team are incredible. I’ve gone through a long restorative process including Invisalign, crowns, etc. and I’ve never been happier with my smile. Consistently a great experience and everyone is very knowledgeable and caring. Special shout out to Sarah and Noelle for taking such good care of me. Thanks everyone!

AVOID! I lived in Edmonton until recently and Dr. Sam Withanachchi of Toothworks Dentistry Downtown Edmonton was my dentist. If I still lived in Edmonton, I would NOT go back to him. He replaced my cap, insisting that all of my previous caps had to be replaced, or else. Many of them were around 10 years old. I agreed to one cap, and he did a horrible job of replacing it. Afterwards when I was at home with the freezing wearing off, I could feel a sharp "ledge" on the top of my new cap (picture). Also, when I was at Dr. Sam's office, he accidentally injected freezing into an artery of a patient in the room next to me. That patient's face went pure white, literally like a piece of paper white, not simply pale, and I could hear that patient complain that eyes were really stinging as a result of this error. Dr. Sam disappeared for about 30-45 minutes after this happened, keeping patients waiting. As a result, I didn't go back for Dr. Sam to fix his work as this left me uneasy. Instead, I went to another dentist for a second opinion and they took a picture of the new cap that Dr. Sam installed (pic included with this review). This broken part of the cap is on an upper tooth, back of the mouth, with the missing chip facing the outside of the mouth, not the inside - in other words, NOT where food is chewed such that it would come into contact with the area of the cap that was chipped off, so the second dentist believes this is how the cap was when it was installed by Dr. Sam W. The second dentist's hygienist couldn't believe the second-rate work and asked why Dr. Sam would have installed a broken cap like this. Having spent more than 3 hours in the chair for Dr. Sam to replace the older cap, which felt like forever and resulted in second-rate work, I would not go back to this guy. He's so busy putting on a show that he can nonchalantly talk at length with his assistant about his personal life and interests while working on your mouth, as if he's such an expert that he hardly needs to concentrate on what he's doing. In this dentist's office, all the gorgeous female staff have the latest in electronic communication equipment attached to their heads like they're in a Victoria's Secret store ... well, you get the idea. The latest tech, gadgets, the talking performance ... all for second-rate work left in a patient's mouth - a new cap that may not have been necessary in the first place. My new dentist has several decades of experience, far more than Dr. Sam, and has advised not to replace the remaining caps that Dr. Sam insisted on replacing - teeth can handle only so much being done to them and, if they don't hurt, there's no need to replace all the other caps. Doing more unnecessary work is taking a chance that could create new problems with fatigued teeth/nerves. However, according to Toothworks, ALL of my caps and fillings done by a prior dentist needed to be replaced, and everyone seems to need Invisalign. They used a lot of persistent higher-pressure sales tactics and warnings of what can happen if you don't agree to all of the work they insist you need. After parting ways with Toothworks, I was later informed that if a dentist sends a patient to an orthodontist for Invisalign, of course, the dentist doesn't get the money. However, if the dentist oversees Invisalign rather than an orthodontist, the Invisalign apparatus is in the patient's mouth for 1 to 1-1/2 years longer than if the patient had simply gotten braces from an orthodontist. Sometimes it's better to just get braces from the orthodontist and get it over with sooner, rather than having Invisalign in your mouth for a lot longer via a dentist.

3 things 1) I crossed my wires last week and missed mt appt. T Works was accommodating at making new Appt. 2) Picked a new night guard. D Asst ensured it fit and took time to explain care for new guard. 3) When originally getting measurements for guard the D Asst saw me when getting a different guard replacing one I had lost. She took the initiative to talk to Dr Sam about reducing cost which he agreed to. This was in no means necessary but definitely appreciated the reduction in cost.

Toothworks has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere as well as professional and respectful team. The office was clean and technology is up to date. I liked that I was able to book easily online and communicate through email and text.

I had a filling today and Dr. Jenna looked after me superbly. She pre-froze the area where the needle when in. I didn't feel a thing for the entire procedure. It was looked after quickly and efficiently. The clinic has free parking available as well. A nice treat when downtown:)

I saw Dani and Dr.Jenna today. Both had kind and thoughtful rapport. I felt seen and heard while being taken care of by both. I look forward to future appointments. My last visit before this was just as good. That was my last cleaning and I was so relieved when my sensitive teeth were addressed properly before a cleaning as my last dentist location did not do that. Highly recommend this dentist office for dental services.

Toothworks has been the most kind, professional, and competent group that I’ve ever had for my dental needs. I have been going there for over 10 years. They have helped me through my jaw surgery, several crowns, and went out of their way to ensure that I had great teeth and excellent service. Dr. Jenna and Dr. Sam as well as all of the hygenists (I’ve seen most of them by now) are all excellent. I have sent several family members here and they have all been very happy as well. If Toothworks isn’t already the #1 Dentistry group in Edmonton, they should be!
