Excellent programs, well-maintained machines, very helpful staff. It's an oasis in the desert of commercial fitness pretenders.

Great facility with friendly staff and lots of activities to choose from.

The gym is old and neglected. The pool and bathrooms look filthy. A broom with water is how the shower floors are cleaned. Some of the aqua instructors are lack luster and are only dialing it in.

They frequently run into an issue where the gym opens at 5:10-5:30 because they don’t have the key to open it. It’s very inconvenient. If you’re increasing memberships, best believe that your operations should improve as well. It’s currently 5:20 on Feb 05/26 and we’re still waiting outside in the cold

Lovely facility, very clean and organized. Great running track and pool. Very helpful staff specifically Kate Sio, very kind and showed me around when I was looking for the steam room. Keep up the great work!

Overall ambience is good except few things I would like to highlight. First is 24 hours sign up for a class and then if you are not able to attend it cancel it otherwise there will be a fine. For this I want to say anything planning for recreational activities 24 hours prior and then during this harsh winter weather if it is not possible to attend it should not be so big deal. We are coming there for relaxing not to increase stress to cancel the class or sign up the class, these policies are unnecessary creating stress as cancellation never happen neither through email, neither to call to front desk as they are busy so phone goes to message form. And it creat a choes that whole time you are either signing a class or either cancelling a class.it makes your work out a stressful activity rather than pleasant. 2ndly I request to put a microwave in female changing room so some of the female who has medical history can make there food warm . It will be a great help. 3rd about badminton or games court. Always busy never free for a single person who has not 4 friends or companions wants to play,he or she can't play. Always certain group of 4/5/6 people everyday booked the court one by one and occupied the court for themselves. This is bad. The Court should be used for stretching, for yoga, for other exercises or if used for games,it should be for all. A single person if wants to play for sometime why she/he can't play? Why it is occupied with same group of people everyday?

I had a disappointing experience with the only dietician currently available at The Wellness Institute, Jill. In our first session, she increased my calorie intake — which her predecessor previously lowered, and unfortunately led to significant weight gain. When I brought this up, I scheduled a second appointment hoping for a more personalized and thoughtful approach. Instead, most of the appointment was spent watching her share a generic slideshow about cravings (which I viewed on my phone — not ideal). Much of the content wasn’t relevant to me, and she then recommended a book clearly marketed toward people who “hate exercise” — despite knowing I’m someone who actually enjoys staying active. It felt like a one-size-fits-all approach in a setting that’s supposed to be individualized, especially for the cost. I emailed her after expressing that I needed a more tailored experience, or to cancel if that wasn’t possible. With no resolution, she cancelled. I’m without care for raising a valid concern. This experience left me feeling dismissed, and I hope The Wellness Institute reflects on what real patient-centered care should look like. Edit: after much back and forth and what felt like unnecessary debate with the clinic manager who seems like they’d die on this hill of providing poor care, it was clear there was a “fire” lit under this centre’s back end, and they did a redo session. After that, care continued to plummet. Imagine hearing “maybe let’s not worry about weight loss right now” at a weight loss clinic. Why continue to grab at my money, then? If you can’t help me because your approach can’t mimic an approach that worked in the past, stop taking advantage of your patients. I don’t need slides read in front of me. I don’t need to hear “keep it up”, when what’s being unkept is not working for me. I’ve since gotten a new line of care. They understandably criticized the 2 protein shakes a day gladly encouraged by this place, amongst other aspects, that really gave me the wake up call I needed to self advocate, cancel these useless appointments and get to speak to serious medical professionals about what’s going on inside my body so there can be a truly tailored approach all this. There is only one dietician here as it stands, it is evident more are needed. PS: the admin assistant recommending on the phone with me, to just not eat for 1 day each week? Not cool. Glad this worked for you, though.

I am a long time member and have been generally very happy with the wellness institute Lately, however, I have had two experiences that have left me less than happy. The wellness institute encourages member to download the app which I did and on the beginning all was well. Lately I have not been able to get into the kaiut yoga classes and it came to my attention that people who don't have the app leave their names at the front desk and when registration opens the front desk people enter their names. In doing so they jam up the system and the people using apps have a hard time registering. It is unfair that people who don't have apps can just leave their names on a list while the people who did what the wellness encouraged can't get I . Suggestion: since this class is so popular, have either Tuesday's or Saturday 's class an app only class and limit attendance to this class to one class per week per member. Secondly, there was a time w redhen people were going into the yoga room and they would leave equipment in the room and destroyed the walls. So a rule was made that only those people signed up for class could be in the yoga room. I was early a few weeks ago and one of the trainers told me I couldn't stay. I said I was signed up but was early. Doesn't matter he said even if you are signed up. Suggestion: allow people who are signed up for class to enter the room twenty minutes before a class so that they can set up their area.

This is a great facility, I came here years ago for the cardiac rehab, I have come back because it’s a good clean facility. I do wish people would smile more but you can’t ask for to much…. But I have started to use other services now… Mr TYLER CHLIBOYKO (masseuse) is incredible! I left more relaxed then I have been in years. The receptionist with the services desk and the main counter are always just a pleasure. Keep up being incredible!
