“I tried the healing theory after one of my favourite RMT moved to a different province. The reviews for this location were amazing and I felt very confident booking an appointment. On my first day I was welcomed by the receptionist she was very kind and polite. I booked with Brooke who again was kind and easy to chat with. We bonded over our love of cats. After my massage I was chatting with the receptionist to book a naturopath appointment, my insurance covers for a licensed ND and I was very eager to try, after a very lengthy chat I was told that I would not be able to claim for this service despite the ND being licesned. The reason from the receptionist was not clear and I felt as if she was going in circles so I cut the chat. If you were to google licensed ND the healing theory does show up so I am still confused about this. However I decided to go back and book another RMT massage with Samantha Jimenez. When I came to the location I was told by the receptionist that she would be 5 minutes late, no big deal. But having a customer service background I would have expected for Samantha once arriving to casually apologize and thank me for waiting. When Samantha arrived she seemed very tired she spoke with the receptionist for a few minutes without addressing me. Then she invited me into the room and did not mention anything about being late. I still chose to continue because it was literally 5 minutes not the biggest deal. My issue with my massage was Samantha for the majority of the service was sitting and I felt as if the massage felt "lazy". I felt as if she kept doing the same circles. The initial part of my massage she was using the point part of her elbow I let her know it was quite painful and she stopped for a little bit and continued using it later on. The massage from Samantha was either lazy and my body began falling numb or it was way too aggressive. I remember thinking "when will this massage be over with". When the massage was done, Samantha was at the front sitting on a chair and engaged with her phone. There was no acknowledgement of me, no asking how do you feel, it was pretty unprofessional. I then spoke first and said "thank you for your time Samantha". To which she replied kindly "yeah no problem". I did not mention my experience to the receptionist or to Samantha afterwards because they both seemed to prioritize speaking to each other. I want to mention how I do think the staff here are sweet but I was really disappointed by Samantha's nonchalant massage I felt as if I wasted my 130$.”

“Been going to their clinic since December last year since I live nearby. Tania is my physiotherapist and she is the best! She listens and understands my upper back issues while at the same time explaining to me nicely what causes it and how to strengthen my muscles. Always a relief after every session!”

“The issue was resolved promptly, and Dr. Laura personally reached out to clarify everything, which I truly appreciate. Her professionalism and the way she values her patients really stood out and gave me renewed confidence in The Healing Theory. One of the best in the GTA for service and care. Highly appreciated! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I booked a 75-minute registered massage therapy session with The Healing Theory on November 27 for December 22 at 5:15 PM. On December 16, just before the holidays, I was informed that my appointment had to be changed. Since it was the end of the year, it was extremely difficult to find another RMT on short notice. After following up, they offered me a new appointment on December 29 at 11:00 AM with another massage therapist, Samantha. This appointment was confirmed, and I was told I would receive a confirmation text soon—but I never did. On December 29, I called the clinic 4–5 times, left voicemail messages, and received no response. I also did not receive the usual 24-hour confirmation text or email. Then, 34 minutes before the appointment, while I was already on my way and called to let them know I was coming, I was informed that my appointment had been cancelled. I had taken half a day off work, and my time was completely wasted. What was most disappointing is that no one bothered to notify me of the cancellation in advance. I have been a loyal client for almost two years and always appreciated their service, but this experience was extremely unprofessional and frustrating. Additionally, I am covered under an insurance policy and this coverage expires at year-end. Due to their last-minute cancellations and lack of communication, I was unable to use my remaining benefits.”

“I have been coming to Healing Theory couple times and tried few different treatments , i always feel so happy and relaxed after walking out each session. Everyone is friendly and patient. The vibe is very “healing” as its name. I’m so glad they are in the area cuz it so close to my home. Their booking system is also easy to book and modify appointment. 100% recommended. I had facial acupuncture treatment with Gigi today. No pain at all and she gave me the best facial massage i ever had in my lifeeee”

“Wow! One stop shop. This place is great, I must add the studio downstairs is an added bonus. Definitely a hidden gem of the east part of the city. Highly recommend checking out the classes. “My oasis!!! Regardless of what’s happening outside, The Healing Theory is my calm spot. I’ve taken all of the offered yoga classes and they are wonderful. Gill and Sasha are knowledgeable and correct you when needed. The space is super clean and the staff are excellent. There are several treatment rooms where various treatments are offered.”
