I am very upset. I had an appointment at 2pm today, all booked a month prior within the Diagnostic Imaging department. It was for a T-V ultrasound, and I was informed by the staff that in order to prepare, I had to drink 5 measuring cups between 12:45 - 1:45 (the goal was a full bladder). I was told this misinformation weeks prior to today, & unknowingly followed through with the wrong preparation. In the ultrasound room, the examiner/doctor informed me of my unintentional mistake with water as a result from the staffs misinformation; to stop drinking an hour prior to my appointment (1:15pm). As a result from the staffs mistake, we couldn’t go through with the ultrasound. The doctor further informed me that this miscommunication was a result of new staff. I understand mistakes happen, but I’ve had a collection of poor communication within this hospital that it’s just so frustrating at this point. It’s a massive let down. Peoples health facing consequences and/or delays due to poorly trained staff or whatever it is causing these miscommunications; it’s extremely harmful for the community. The lack of communication and social skills portrayed by healthcare staff/professionals. I have been in pain every single day since grade 7. I really needed this appointment, & I worry for the pain and time that I’ll go through waiting for a reschedule. I can barely live a fulfilling life. I’m only 20.

Worst experience . This hospital is really really worst . All the staff , doctors are for nothing here . In my 2 years experience in canada it was my 2nd visit and returned without nothing and i had really really bad pain in my ear and i was unable to hear anything. I waited 7 hours What means to pay the taxes here . There is no care of the life of the patients .

From my experience, the ER staff here are just a bunch of kids that don’t seem to take their job seriously. My mom recently got sent here and when I arrived, nobody bothered to tell me anything that was happening and I saw them just standing around out there gossiping and chatting. I came out of the room and asked if my mom could get some water and they all just stared at me and nobody said anything. It’s just so incredibly unprofessional all around. I haven’t lived in town for years but would always hear stories about this hospital and how unprofessional the ER staff are and the crazy wait times that don’t seem to make sense and now I’ve experienced it first hand. There are some great staff in other departments of the hospital but the ER staff really need to stop treating their job like a hangout session.

I am from out of town and needed an urgent care, but not necessarily an ER facility however, this is all that I was able to get to. Even though there was a long wait due To people that needed emergency care, I am very pleased of the thoroughness and the politeness of the staff. Everyone was very friendly and did the very best they could.

I have a granddaughter that has been waiting since before 7pm to get stitches in her chin. She fell on a toy and popped a hole under her chin. She's 3yrs old and still waiting to get looked after. Omg that's just ridiculous 🙄 no one has come out to let anyone know what's going on or how much longer the wait will be. Come on wheres the compassion and empathy. It's been over 3hrs waiting...plus another Lil one over 4hrs broken hand ....wow what's wrong with this picture.

Don’t waste your time here. In June 2024 my friend was visiting. A tree limb fell on her at the New Liskeard beach. The staff here did nothing for her. Gave her a list of symptoms to watch for and sent her away wasn’t even there an hour. She left went to Belleville hospital was there over 10 hours getting X-rays and tests to be sure there was no internal bleeding since the tree limb hit her neck and head. Belleville hospital has a great reputation best hospital in Ontario. Real hospital real doctors. They will never say I won’t do anything for you. If you can do it go to a reputable hospital don’t waste your time going here. Worst hospital in Ontario Good luck and stay safe.

Went to the ER to have my expired IUD removed as I am new in the area and still need to find a family doctor. I was directed to triage where they called us in within a few minutes for them to take my vitals, weigh me etc. The nurses were very kind and personable! It was only a 2 hour wait as there were people there before me and some had priority. The doctor's name was Ryan and he was very easy to talk to and did a wonderful job reassuring me and making me comfortable. He had a student remove my IUD under his watch and she did a fantastic job! I didn't feel a thing! I wish I remembered her name. I think she's going to make a wonderful doctor or nurse. I am so happy with how everything went and they told me to come back if I had any issues or concerns after the removal. This is probably the most calm hospital I've ever been to with some of the kindest staff I've ever met.
