“Booked for scaling and a simple checkup. Without my knowledge or consent, the clinic performed and billed extra items which ended up over 2-3 time the market price. “Unprofessional experience and a complete lack of transparency. I went in for a routine teeth cleaning and a basic check-up, but the experience was entirely unacceptable. Before doing a comprehensive examination, the dentist didn't even bother to introduce themselves. They then performed an advanced oral exam and X-rays that I never requested, resulting in an unexpected total charge of over $500 CAD without my consent. There was no explanation of these extra fees, no billing confirmation provided, and they failed to get the policyholder's signature for the insurance claim. To make matters worse, I left without receiving any report or results for the extra tests. Sneaking in over $500 of unauthorized services during a routine visit is deceptive. “I had a really great experience at this dental clinic. Dr. Li, the dental assistant, and the receptionist were all incredibly attentive and caring! I needed to have four teeth extracted for my orthodontic treatment, and I’m someone who is very afraid of pain. Dr. Li did everything possible to make the whole process feel much less scary and as painless as possible. Throughout the procedure, they kept checking in to make sure I was okay and not in pain, which I really appreciated. The front desk staff was also very thoughtful and detail-oriented. When my family had upcoming appointments for teeth cleaning, they made a point to remind us in advance, which was really helpful. “I’ve always had a great experience at this dental clinic. I had two wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Li, and he was very gentle, skilled, and reassuring. He helped calm my nerves and explained everything clearly, which made the whole process much easier. I also had my teeth cleaned by the hygienist, and it was very thorough. Afterwards, Dr. Soo went over my dental condition and explained everything in detail, which I really appreciated. The whole team is professional, attentive, and caring. “I had a crown made at Sunflower Family Dentistry last year, and Dr. Soo did an amazing job. He took his time to make sure the crown fit perfectly, and I’ve had zero issues with it since. I also had a night guard made by Dr. Soo last month, and the quality is just as impressive. It felt completely natural from the moment I put it on—no adjustment period at all.
