Noman is an exceptional physiotherapist. He’s knowledgeable, caring, and just a genuinely positive person to be around. From the very first visit, he made me feel comfortable and really took the time to understand what I was dealing with. I’ve had vertigo for many years, and the treatment I received from him was thorough and effective. My quality of life has improved a lot since starting care with him. He’s also been very patient and supportive with all the employer paperwork and requirements, which took a lot of stress off me. I’m really grateful for his help. If you’re dealing with vestibular issues/vertigo, save your time and energy, go and see him.

Jennifer Poon is a great physiotherapist. She took great care and understanding of my neck and hips problems. Very personalized approach and genuine care about my health. Would definitely recommend her to anyone in the area!

I wanted to thank Noman & Louise for helping me recover from my concussion & neck strain with WCB. I have been going regularly to Strathcona PT since December, for about 4 months now. They created a treatment plan to help me go back to my day-to-day routine! Some sessions would include working on my TMJ as well, vestibular exercises, dry needling, etc. There is a gym to complete these exercises under guidance of the PT. They've worked closely with WCB, sending updates and recommendations to ensure a safe recovery back to work. I am genuinely so thankful for all the help I've gotten from Noman & Louise, and all the clinic staff. Not to mention they're all kind and empathetic! Would highly recommend booking with Strathcona Physical Therapy for an assessment if you're considering a physio!

I’ve been coming here for around 10 years when I need help with body pains or pain from car accidents. I’ve seen Ed throughout that time, and he is excellent—very patient and knowledgeable. As long as you stay consistent with the exercises they give you, you really do feel better. I can always count on Ed!

I cannot recommend enough this clinic, especially Noman Anwari. Finding him has honestly been life-changing. He is by far the best physiotherapist I have ever seen and I only wish I had found him sooner. From the very first appointment, Noman took the time to truly understand my rotator cuff injury in my left shoulder and the pain in my right shoulder before creating a treatment plan tailored specifically to me. Every session is different and adjusted based on my progress. He never follows a generic routine and his approach is thoughtful, personalized, and focused on real recovery. Before seeing Noman, I spent a year unable to lift my left arm due to my rotator cuff injury. I had tried other physiotherapy clinic but with no success. With Noman, I started seeing improvement just after a few sessions and within a month (with 2 sessions per week), I was finally able to lift my left arm again with significantly less pain - something I genuinely thought might never happen. Beyond his technical expertise, Noman is an incredible person. He genuinely cares about his patients, is very approachable, and makes you feel heard and supported throughout the process. He combines IMS, adjustments, and other physiotherapy techniques based on what you actually need, not a one-size-fits-all approach. If you’re dealing with shoulder pain or any injury and want real, lasting results, Noman is absolutely worth every session. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone! One more thing worth mentioning is that the clinic itself is excellent. The staff are amazing and the space is very well maintained. I’ve personally seen how thoroughly everything is sanitized after each use, including treatment beds and gym equipment. The gowns are always freshly washed, which really gives peace of mind knowing everything is clean and well cared for. So if you’re reading this and hesitating, book the appointment - the kind of care they offer here truly changes lives!

Stellar care needs to be acknowledged, so let me share my experience with Jennifer Poon. Jen has been my Physiotherapist for +2 years, ever since my two total knee replacements. Before surgery my physical condition wasn’t good due to years of relative inactivity because of the knee pain…I was older than my years. Post surgery, Jen created an exercise program tailored to me, initially to build strength and mobility back in my knees. Then, when the time was right, the program evolved to being a whole body strengthening program with regular incremental revisions to keep things challenging. Now I’m feeling great, the best in many many years, and it was Jen’s knowledge of what was right for me, and the when and the how, that got me where I am today. Simply said, Jen’s knowledge and caring were key to me getting my life back, and I cannot thank her enough!

I’m telling you guys, Dr. Noman is the real deal. Hands down THE BEST physiotherapist I’ve ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable and caring. I’ve been dealing with a shoulder and wrist injury for YEARS, bounced around to different physios, and nothing ever really changed. Then I saw Dr. Noman. He figured out what was actually going on, and within a few weeks I felt better than I have in a long time. He doesn’t rush you in and out. He listens, properly diagnoses your injuries, explains everything, and you can genuinely tell he cares about getting you better. If you’re looking for a physio who truly makes a difference and actually helps your pain go away, go see Dr. Noman. You won’t regret it.

If you’re looking for quality care, look no further than Strathcona Physical Therapy. I was referred to Noman Anwari in February 2024 due to unexplained quad pain. After a thorough assessment, Noman had three theories. I was surprised when he told me he was going to start by treating my right hip. He explained this wouldn’t be an overnight fix and to be patient with the process. When Noman wasn't available, I saw Gerald. After months of needling, mobilization and prescribed exercises. my quad pain diminished significantly and my hip and knees were no longer giving me trouble. For a time, I was even pain free, which was amazing! While I have had set backs and still experience pain in my hip (from not keeping up with my exercises), I know I am headed in the right direction. Noman has also been treating my wrists. I was having pain doing the most basic of things, like washing my face. While I am now able to do far more than that (dishes, gardening, etc) without much pain, I will know there is still room for improvement. The best part is Noman has been able to keep me from having to undergo surgery, for which I am extremely grateful. No matter what I present him with, be it hip, wrist, knee, or back pain, Noman has a plan and keeps reminding me not to overdo things but rather to pace myself. As long as I do my part, I see progress. At one point, he saw the need to refer me to Jennifer. I am working with her to focus on strengthening my core and pelvic floor muscles. It was another piece of the puzzle Noman was able to put into place for me. A heart-felt thank you to everyone, including those at the desk who welcome me with a smile each and every time!

I spent a couple of weeks working with Noman as a student, and was extremely impressed with his assessments and treatment plans for many different issues from sport and workplace injuries, to chronic neck and back pain, to TMJ pain and vestibular issues. He is so knowledgeable and specializes in creating personalized rehabilitation plans for each patient's individual needs, and does a fantastic job of meeting people where they are at. He is truly passionate about his work, and deeply caring. If you have tried other physios without seeing much progress, or you have an issue that seems hopeless to resolve, I would highly recommend coming to see Noman! I hope to never need physio, but if I do, I will definitely be coming to see him!
