“My friend introduced me to the office, I had an amazing experience in the office. I think they are under the new management, everyone is very nice. I had cleaning done with Dr. Wong. He is very patient and detailed. The staffs name is Dorothy, she is very nice, educated, and welcoming. Dorothy gave me a snack when I told her I was hungry. They are very knowledgeable about the insurance, making sure I am eligible for every treatment. The office manager Erin is super nice too, she makes sure the patients been treated well and fair.”Read moreShow less

“I worked with this wonderful charity in putting on a fundraising event and helping create their promotional video. Albert the President, and all the staff are all incredibly professional and easy to work with. I was moved by their inspiring dental service to low income children who can't afford dental surgery and service. I have personally had 3 teeth cleaning and found the experience smooth and pain free. This is my dental clinic by choice. Free street parking is great.”Read moreShow less

“My recommendation is to find another dentist until Strathcona Community Dental deals with their racist employees. No one should be made to feel "less than" when trying to seek dental care. “Hires pretty transparently racist staff. Office scrambled to cover their backs, didnt do a single thing in terms of making things right with their patients, no word on any kind of punishment for the employee. Either they hired someone who is so extremely unfit for the job, or they hired a racist. Both show terrible judgement and screams incompetence. Not worth the risk. You can see other reviews here that have had problems with the staff. Over year old reviews. And there is still nothing being done. Clearly they do not care about the community they serve and instead cater to the employees needs over anyone elses.”Read moreShow less

“I am a single father of three children who lost their mother suddenly. The mother of all three children is Indigenous and all three children are entitled to full health and dental care. Recently I went to Strathcona Comunity Dental and the receptionist refused the children's certificate of indian status cards and said that I have to pay to get the services for the children. I tried to explain things to her very kindly, but she very rudely told me not to come to this place without money. Right after this happened I went to kingsgate dental and they accept children's certificate of indian status cards and provide the service . I kindly request the responsible person to find another suitable job for the current receptionist who working in Strathcona Comunity Dental place. She is not suitable for the job she doing now. “I can't say enough great things about this place. Dr. Fong, the hygienist Cindy, and the receptionist Cindy are very skilled, efficient, and friendly. Our checkups are always smooth, fun, and pleasant. They have a small room for little kids full of toys and TV, which makes my life as a single mom of two a lot easier. They charge a very reasonable amount. It was very helpful for me when I didn't have a coverage. Unfortunately, the last two years, I was too busy to take a weekday off to visit there. I ended up finding dental care on Saturday in my hood. I still miss them greatly. Especially, Dr. Fong's impeccable cleaning!”Read moreShow less
