“Came in this afternoon to get my eye checked out after I had a bug fly in earlier today, my eye felt very uncomfortable and wanted to get it checked to be sure. They were super accommodating when I called and made time to squeeze me in and get my eye checked out. Everyone was very lovely and kind!”Read moreShow less

“Amazing staff and service. I had misplaced my prescription to give to pharmacy, they went out of their way to contact the pharmacist personally to submit my prescription. I’ve been going to them for over 6 yrs and highly recommend them.”

“Nice staff..total corporate enterprise solely in business to extract the maximum from every segment of the market they can...they actually told me AHS was responsible for a co-pay they know they dont have to charge...find a local small business not tied to the profit game this company plays”Read moreShow less

“Four years later and some new staff, things are as wonderful as always. S. Trinch and Dr. Holtz we're absolutely fantastic! 10/10 service! So glad I went to Stonewire and Pearle Vision and will be going back for any and all of my optometry/glasses/vision needs! I'll be directing everyone I know to them! Everyone deserves a raise and a pizza party!”Read moreShow less

“Friday January 16, 2026 @ 9:50 am I’ve been a loyal patient at this optometrist for around 6 almost 7 years, which makes this experience especially disappointing. I came in for a routine check-up but found out my insurance would not be active until March of this year. I completely understood that and politely asked to reschedule the appointment. I was surprised to be told I would still be charged a cancellation fee, even though I wasn’t canceling altogether — just rescheduling and intending to continue my care here. For context, I arrived about 10 minutes late due to traffic and unsafe icy road conditions, and I called ahead to inform the office. I also would have appreciated it if my benefits had been checked before the appointment was scheduled, rather than being put in an uncomfortable position at the desk. After I paid the fee, it was clear I was uncomfortable with the situation. Only then was I offered a “refund” if I agreed to a “health check-up,” after being asked what date I wanted to reschedule. By that point, I no longer felt comfortable proceeding with any appointment that day and declined. The offer felt confusing and unprofessional, especially since I had already expressed that I didn’t want to reschedule. I asked for a receipt and left feeling disappointed and undervalued as a long-term patient. This is my first 1-star review, which I do not leave lightly. The entire interaction made it feel more about money than patient care, which is unfortunate given my years of loyalty. I hope the clinic reflects on how situations like this are handled, especially with long-time patients. As I will not be returning, ever. - Aladdin”Read moreShow less

“They need to send out reminders to the patients similar to other clinics not everyone can remember the appointment dates. A card can be lost not everyone are tech savvy. Staff needs to stop expecting people to remember and not expecting to pay for forgetting this is a extra money grab pocket for themselves. what do they use that extra 25 fee for? Do they claim it on taxes? In fact their receptionists needs to have better communication skills admin skills to remind patients their appts etc... never returning to that place again”Read moreShow less

“I’ve been going to Stonewire Optometry since I was a teen and always had good experiences before. Recently, I missed an appointment but never received a text reminder. I asked if they could waive the no-show fee, but they said if they did, I wouldn’t be able to book weekend appointments anymore. I was disappointed with how it was handled, especially after being a long-time patient.”Read moreShow less

“Well, what can I say…I had a metal piece in my eye over the weekend and noticed it the next day when my eyes started itching and was swollen. I called Stonewire the same day I noticed and was able to get an appointment within an hour. Walked in, the receptionist took really good care of me, and she created my profile and within 20-25 mins I was out of the clinic. Thanks to the great team and a special thanks to Dr. Matthew Sobolewski for the corneal foreign body removal. The whole team is great and I'm also new to Canada, so really had a great experience with them. They have really good high-tech machines for eyes and I would highly recommend to see Stonewire if you are having any eye issues or just need a new glasses.”Read moreShow less
