“I am so thoroughly disappointed with this hospital and more specifically the Neuro department. My surgery have been cancelled 3 times. The last time I was in the hospital, hooked up to IV, waiting for hours only to be told to go home because they didn’t have any beds available. What kind of hospital schedules a surgery that requires an overnight stay without making sure you have a bed available? It’s ridiculous. They are toying with my physical and mental health. Saying “I’m sorry” a dozen times doesn’t fix my issues, issues that I’ve been suffering with for 2 years now. Unfortunately the doctor I’m seeing only works here but if you can, save yourself and go somewhere else. UPDATE: I finally had my surgery and my hospital experience was great, thanks to all the nurses who were amazing!”Read moreShow less

“St Michael’s Hospital no longer has compassion for its patients. If you or a loved one are in pain or suffering from chronic pain, steer clear from this hospital, they do the minimal possible without going that extra mile to help you be pain free. “after major surgery followed by delirium, they discharged my husband on Monday without him having been seen by a doctor since Friday. so 48h later he needed a ride via ambulance back to hospital. major infection. other complications. things an attending physician should have noticed. but wait. there wasn't one who could be bothered to check up on him. and "the nurses did not report a change in his condition". nevermind they change so often they probably didn't know what condition he started the weekend in.”Read moreShow less

“Dear Unity Health, I am so incredibly disappointed with the level of care your organization provides. On December 2nd I went to another hospital outside your organization experiencing pain in my chest. Well it turns out I can possibly have lung cancer. In turn I was supposed to have a STAT CT scan. St Michaels hospital received my referral on December 4th. After 20 or something calls did they even find my referral before actually getting an appointment for the CT scan on December 17th. After that I figured we were rolling. Guess what, today is Christmas Eve and I still don’t have the results of the STAT CT scan. I have small children and to possibly have lung cancer is extremely daunting and quite scary. And having to wait almost a month for simple CT scan results is extremely cruel and unusual punishment in my humble opinion. As organization what is the timeline when a family doctors orders a STAT CT scan? Anyways, as result of this experience, I am no longer going to be a patient of St. Michaels integrated Health Network, because in my opinion, they don’t care all to much about patient care.
