“I've been seeing Aditi since May for post-accident recovery, and I can’t recommend them enough. Aditi is incredibly friendly and professional, always taking the time to understand and address my concerns. What impressed me the most is how they seem to know exactly what my body needs without me even having to explain in detail. “Went to SEMI for help with an injury (my doctor sent me here I didn't choose to come) . I’m 21, very active, and play sports regularly. The MD told me, “Yeah, there’s nothing to do to heal your injury, you can only manage it.” Basically telling me to be in constant pain and stop being active. He was also supposed to refer me somewhere and send me an email with next steps — never did. Felt dismissed and like no real effort was made to help me recover. Definitely wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for proper care. I'm in the prime years of my life in terms of physical health and this person is telling me my injury cannot be healed and I have to just deal with it?!”Read moreShow less

“I want to Recognize Dr. Wesley Armstrong for his excellence in patient care, his amazing ability to empathize with his patients very compassionate. All round an outstanding Dr.with amazing bed side manners. I have had an injury with both arms in pain for over 2 years, I could not lift my arms or do anything without pain. After the hydrodilatation procedure I am able to lift my arms, do every day activity, get my life back. Thank you Dr. Armstrong, I would also like to recognize your nurse Karen who did an amazing job. I highly recommend Dr Armstrong. One of the best Dr's I have come across. “Very disappointed in the service from SEMI. Received PRP treatment for a golf tendon issue to right hand and arm this summer. Used their therapists after 3 PRP treatments and was pleased with service received by therapist. Currently down in US golfing and felt and heard a pop in same hand last week. Tried to talk to Dr at SEMI to get idea on what to do, refused to speak to me because not in Ontario. Took initiative on my own to book and pay for a MRI here prior to returning due to delay for service back in Canada. Gave US clinic my history, they put SEMI Dr's name on initial request and advised me I would need to get a local US Dr to sign prior to actual MRI. Got local Dr at our community clinic to sign MRI request and obtained diagnosis of a fractured hamate bone with mild to moderate displacement. Sent diagnosis to SEMI Dr and was accused today of fraud because MRI clinic had erroneously left her name on report? I was hoping to be helpful by sharing report with SEMI Dr prior to my return so could formulate a plan and book appointment ahead of my arrival. Never in a million years did I expect to be accused of fraud. Also accused of jeopardizing Dr's medical license, which I would never do. I followed all the rules. This clinic is only interested in money, paid $2,600 outside of OHIP to get the PRP treatment and now Dr won't talk to me because can't bill OHIP and get paid due to being outside of Ontario. I would look around before considering SEMI. Extremely disappointed in lack of compassion, not sure how effective treatment was since this seems to be a new injury. Follow up to this review. The Director followed up with me regarding my complaint. Could not have been more professional and compassionate in their response to completely own their error and apologize. They took it as a learning experience and used to improve how they interact with their patients. “I have used the services at SEMI several times over the years to help deal with different exercise-related issues and have always received the best care. Mostly recently I had physiotherapy with Adam and I'm very happy to say I was able to complete the Toronto Half Marathon in the spring, pain-free and injury-free, and I continue to run regularly. “I’ve been returning to SEMI for a range of injuries and pains for more than 15 years and just completed a few weeks of treatment for debilitating pain in my upper and lower back, shoulders and neck. It was preventing me from being active and getting restful sleep. This time I was treated by Tony H who had me pain free and back to my normal active self in less than 4 weeks. “I broke my collarbone skiing in Switzerland. I contacted Dr Stoddard’s office from Switzerland to get advice and guidance on medical care. I forwarded my X-rays to Dr Stoddard and got much appreciated medical advice. I cannot tell you how reassuring and comforting it was to get that medical advice especially being so far from home. Went to see Dr. Stoddard and received care over the last 6 weeks. Through a very painful and difficult time Dr. Stoddard was professional and genuinely caring and reassured me his aim was a 100 percent recovery. After being under Dr Stoddard’s care I am well on my way to a100 percent recovery. Doctor Stoddard and his team of professionals have made me really appreciate what wonderful medical care is.
