“My daughter has been working with SLP Liv Meriano this past year, both in-person and virtually. Liv is creative, respectful, professional, and FUN! I just hear so much laughter every time they work together. Even the homework we get is fun. She really took the time to get to know my daughter and cater every activity to feel more like play than work. However, my daughter has worked really hard with Liv this past year to work on her speech clarity. “We were delighted to have worked with our SLP Thyra Driver. She has a very warm and inviting way that really shone through with my toddler each time we came to see her. She was very dedicated to building a trusting and understanding relationship and continued therapy by having the utmost attention and respect paid to both my child and I. It was very special to witness such an attentive and kind friendship growing between them. Verbal communication was consistent for my child at her sessions and focus was frequent and easier to access. We favoured the quiet, beautiful atmosphere of the office with trees swaying in the window and her feature wall had fabric like texture and shapes that were always of interest for my little. Toys were always readily available for my child to make the choice of what and how playing would look each session without unnecessary leading. She even thoughtfully considered conversations we had prior of interests my child had and included some of those activities that would peak his interests in sessions thereafter. My child was always excited for her sessions and had shown a lot of improvements in communication during our time together. I highly recommend speech therapy with Thyra. She has a wonderful understanding of neurodiversity affirming care and continues to remain up to date with the ever evolving field whilst providing such comprehensive and attentive therapy. Her proficiency with AAC software had also been extremely helpful during our time together. Thank you so much Thyra, we are going to miss you. “Thyra was (and is) so amazing. When Thomas first started with her August 2022 he was almost completely non speaking. In a few sessions she had gained T's trust (and mine) and has developed a plan that works best for him. She's always kept me in the loop and made sure we've had regular contact to discuss plans and strategies. She also done a wonderful job of teaching and guiding me in ways that are best to help Thomas (even non speech related topics). Although Speech is the main focus I always felt that Thyra was more passionate about making sure Thomas could make himself understood whether through speech or other communication avenues. - always a win in my books when someone focuses on the child and not their abilities. Thyra has been a key part in Thomas' success and I will always be in awe with how hard she and Thomas worked to get a communication base that Thomas could interact with others. 2 years later and Thomas is speaking so well with a few sounds to still work on. If only we could bring Thyra with on our move. We will miss her terribly.”Read moreShow less
