“Alyssa is an incredible teacher who's love for what she's doing is absolutely pervasive! Her passion and enthusiasm are completely infectious. I am totally in awe of what we've accomplished in just a few months! I literally can't wait for the progression to continue, and I simply wouldn't want to be on this journey with any other person. “It's been 3 months since I started working with Alyssa at Speech Appeal. I wanted someone to help me with gender-affirming speech therapy, and I'm so lucky that I found Alyssa to be that person. As a trans woman, it was really important to me that I work with someone who understands our specific needs. It became immediately apparent that Alyssa's experience and expertise in this area are extensive. Not only that, though - she's an absolute joy to work with! In each of my sessions, I always feel that I'm in control, able to step out of my comfort zone if I want, but under no pressure to do so if I'm just not feeling it that day. Alyssa is outstanding at adapting her approach to whatever method is working for me at any given moment, listening for how I'm describing the sensations I'm experiencing and using that to guide me. If there's anyone who's looking for a speech therapist to help with gender-affirming care, I simply cannot recommend Alyssa highly enough.”Read moreShow less

“I have been working with Alyssa from Speech Appeal Clinic for 3 months now; and it has been an extremely rewarding experience. Her advice is truly tailored to each individual and she makes sure to adapt the sessions according to your progress, any new information, or preferences. In a short period of time, I have been able to see clear progress towards my desired results; but most importantly, I believe what speaks best about the quality of Speech Appeal's services is the care and importance assigned to each client. I am truly grateful to have Alyssa's support at all times, their platform is super easy to use, and I would recommend these services to anyone looking for speech/voice therapy or training.”Read moreShow less

“My Speech Therapist, Alyssa has truly been such a positive & enlightening experience. She is absolutely talented in her work and in her precision to guide me to essentially my own cognitions and realizations. Her coaching is second to none. I've always wanted to improve my speech in a professional setting as I was struggling with mumbling and communicating my ideas across confidently. She provided step by step guidance throughout each one of our sessions which has resulted in a considerable improvement in my overall communication skills. Can't thank you enough for your services!”Read moreShow less

“Alyssa has been wonderful to work with! As a trans woman I have been doing gender affirming voice work which is a rather sensitive point for my dysphoria. Alyssa is kind, insightful, patient, and fun and each session I come away feeling closer to my goal voice than before. She has been very accommodating and flexible with scheduling as well and I don't think I can recommend her enough.”Read moreShow less

“I am a client of Speech Appeal, and I was concerned about the efficacy of sessions remotely due to Covid. Luckily my therapist, Alyssa, was absolutely incredible. She was able to tailor specific lessons for me, and results started to show immediately. Not only did she teach me many valuable techniques and exercises, but explained the physiological reasons why the exercises worked. Alyssa was an absolute dream to work with and I can’t thank her enough for her tutelage. If there was ever a question of who to choose as a therapist, I would recommend her 100% of the time. If you’re reading this, Alyssa, thank you again so much!”Read moreShow less
