I have worked with Emilie for a year now and she is a great therapist. She creates an open and safe environment for her clients, works with them to recognize what they would like to work on. Moreover, she demonstrates a strong ability to adjust her style in order to fit a clients needs. Her skillsets allow her to offer a variety of perspectives and insights. Highly recommend booking a consultation with her!

I have been working with Emillie for over 3 years now. Working with her is always very interactive. She offers a safe space where you can freely express yourself. She will help you navigate any challenge by helping you think about things in a different perspective. I have tried both in-person and virtual therapy. Regardless of the format, it’s always a 10/10 experience!

I warmly recommend Soul Seat to anyone navigating people-pleasing patterns or looking to build healthier, more secure relationships. Emillie is deeply empathetic, an attentive listener, and creates a truly judgment-free space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and emotions. Having had the opportunity to work alongside her, I’ve seen the level of care, intention, and compassion she brings to her work. She approaches therapy with a trauma-informed and nervous-system-focused perspective, helping individuals reconnect with themselves in a supportive and culturally attuned environment. Beyond being a dear friend, she is an exceptional therapist who is genuinely committed to the healing and well-being of the people she supports. She offers in-person, online and walk & talk therapy which is such a creative way to make therapy accessible! 🩷

I had the pleasure of attending my Master's program with Emillie! As a fellow therapist, I highly recommend her services. If you're looking for an in-person therapist in Burlington or a virtual therapist in Ontario to work on people-pleasing, attachment issues, and relational trauma, I encourage you to reach out!

TDLR: I have been working with Emillie for about a year and a half and feel so lucky to have found her. Book a consultation with her and you’ll see how amazing and unique she is in just a few minutes :) Here are some examples of what we worked on: understanding emotions/their function/how to regulate them, managing anxiety, treating major depressive disorder, practicing vulnerability, and processing grief. I started seeing Emillie the start of a really low point in my life and things only got worse from there. She helped me get through it all. This is not to say she solved all of my problems for me or that it was easy because I had her as a counsellor. But, she helped me understand what I was dealing with in a way that made sense to me, was always so validating, taught me how/when to lean on social support, and gave me tangible coping mechanisms that worked for me. One of my favourite things about Emillie compared to other therapists is that I have actual, tangible coping skills. It feels like I am doing the thing instead of just talking about the thing. I love that I can share a coping mechanism I learned from Emillie with a friend or a younger cousin - it’s proof that I’m actually growing and learning. Here are some other highlights: - She is professional and maintains boundaries, but she’s still relatable. I love that she’s a young woman of colour, like me 🩷 - She really understands what she’s talking about and can explain it in detail when I ask. - She is very quick on her feet and always prepared for anything that comes up in our sessions. I wish google would let me give Emillie a million stars. Five is not nearly enough.
