“My husband booked us an afternoon at Solorzano Spa for my birthday. He booked himself a 1-hour massage, and for me a package that included a 1-hour massage plus a sugar scrub and facial mask package scheduled for 2 hours. The total was well over $300. About 90 minutes before our appointment, we called to ask if the facial mask could be substituted for a head massage instead, which the spa approved without issue. When we arrived, we were initially placed in separate rooms even though my husband was being put into the couples room. After we asked, they did accommodate us being together, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the actual service was very disappointing. We assumed my husband and I would both receive our 1-hour massages together, and then my additional services would continue afterward since my package was booked for 2 hours total. Instead, all of my services were compressed into the same single hour, and we finished at the exact same time. There was no explanation given that my “additional” services would simply replace portions of the massage rather than extend the treatment time as booked. For the price paid, this felt extremely misleading and left us feeling disappointed on what was supposed to be a relaxing birthday experience. “One of the worst intimate wax job ever. Painful, didn’t ask about what I wanted, and left patches. Also the most expensive in town. Not worth it. Never going there again. “Got the wine down experience which was nice. Arrived early and was provided a drink. Was offered a seat but as this is a 2.5hr experience and have never been before, I expected a short explanation, (steps of the experience, take off shoes, where the bathroom is). Massage, facial, pedi were lovely with Emmy. Had to walk from the 3rd floor, pass through the cafe to transfer from the massage to the pedi. The refreshment was provided but the charcuterie board was not. Deceiving description on website says the package costs $215. It does say that 20% tip is added to all packages however assume that 20% is included in the $215. After all paid a total of $270. Would be much more likely to go again if I didn't feel deceived to but not likely to visit again. Even though the experience was nice... would've been nice to get my charcuterie board that said would be included. The charm of the place is stunning though is non-accessible. Multiple flights of stairs, manual doors. Some suggestions - explanation especially for first-timers, more transparent pricing, robe to heighten the package experience.”Read moreShow less
