I like the integrated approach to my total care program. My physiotherapist Kurt is amazing; he goes the extra mile every appointment and my results are evidence of his expertise.

I took my 13-year-old nephew to Dr. Andre after he injured his elbow during a wrestling match and ended up with a ligament tear. From day one, Dr. Andre was incredibly helpful. He guided us on the right imaging to get, including X-rays and an ultrasound, and started treatment right away to help with the pain and inflammation. What I really appreciated was how clearly he explained everything. He took the time to answer our questions and made sure we understood the injury and recovery process. His approach is focused on getting patients back to moving and functioning normally as soon as possible, without pushing through pain. My nephew felt comfortable and confident throughout the process, and we saw improvement quickly. Dr. Andre is knowledgeable, caring, and genuinely wants to help his patients get better. I would highly recommend him to anyone dealing with an injury.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sheddon Physiotherapy. I’ve been working with Monica after an injury and she has been nothing but patient, kind, and supportive - all while walking through all exercises and stretches with ease and is happy to answer any questions I may have during my sessions (and I’ve had quite a few since my first). Nana has also been wonderful with after session exercises. Such an amazing team, thank you!!

Physiotherapy Experience – Worsened Condition, Ignored Clinical Reality I am documenting my experience because what occurred here did not help — it set me back significantly. I attended this clinic with a documented left-leg condition that has been ongoing since 2022, with imaging and a clear symptom pattern. Prior to starting physiotherapy, I had reached a point where I could achieve temporary pain-free walking using specific positioning (leg elevation). Instead of working with what was clearly helping, the approach taken did the opposite. What happened: Visit 1: I was told to stop elevating my legs, despite it being the only thing relieving pain. I was instructed to remain upright and sit — even though sitting increased pain. I was told to use heat/ice in positions that aggravated symptoms. Visit 2: At this point, I could not lift my left leg due to severe pain. Instead of reassessing, I was coached to repeatedly attempt straight-leg raises. I left this session worse. Visit 3 (requested): I asked for pain relief modalities (e.g., TENS), which had been recommended. This was not prioritized. Major concerns: My imaging and medical history were not meaningfully incorporated. My clear symptom pattern (relief with leg elevation) was not considered. I was pushed into pain-provoking movements despite clear limitation. There was no adjustment when symptoms worsened. Outcome: After two sessions, my condition regressed: Pain-free walking periods disappeared Walking tolerance became very limited Pain became persistent This was a clear regression from where I was before starting physiotherapy. Bottom line: This experience reflected a lack of appropriate assessment, listening, and adjustment based on patient response. When a patient presents with a documented history, a clear relief pattern, and worsening with specific movements, care should be adapted accordingly — not override those signals. Instead, the approach taken provoked and escalated my condition.

Had a pair of wonderful experiences with Monica and Rachel! I had injured my knee and was booked in to see Monica, she was able to diagnose the exact same problem my family doctor did, and gave me an incredibly helpful treatment and treatment plan to continue to heal. I felt immediate and noticeable relief leaving the clinic, thanks to her. Rachel was my massage therapist and asked a great many detailed questions in order to pinpoint the exact areas I needed help with relaxing. The atmosphere was perfect and I almost fell asleep from the trance I found myself in. A wonderful massage and I feel like I've left a fugue state I've been in because of it. I can't recommend Sheddon enough! The receptionist Carol is also incredibly helpful!

My experience at the Sheddon Physiotherapy and Sports Clinic was excellent. Mitch was extremely knowledgeable with my knee injury and very encouraging for a quick recovery. His explanation of the anatomy of the body was very clear in helping understand how everything is connected in the healing process. I have been faithful with the strength building exercises provided and have already noticed a substantial improvement. Thank you sooooo much!!!!!!! Joanne Mac Isaac

I highly recommend Sheddon Physiotherapy. The staff are very friendly, welcoming & knowledgeable. Mitch diagnosed my shoulder pain immediately & I left my very first visit with less pain than I had felt in months. After 2-3 visits I am happy to report my shoulder pain is gone😊. I also had the pleasure of working with Andrej, for neck pain… that also is now gone. Both Michelle & Andrej are very knowledgeable, gentle & explained everything about their treatment & how it would help me. Carol at the front desk is very friendly & accommodating. 5 star all the way 👍

This is my second time receiving care from Sheddon — and this time, it was for my 11-year-old son, who suffered a knee injury playing hockey. Andrej, our physiotherapist, was exceptional. His attention to detail, thorough diagnosis, and thoughtful treatment techniques stood out. He was patient, took the time to get to know us beyond just being patients, and made us feel like family. We’re already seeing progress and are confident his treatments will help my son return to play for Team Ontario’s lacrosse team at an upcoming tournament this weekend. Everyone at Sheddon takes great pride in their practice and consistently delivers outstanding care. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking trusted, professional physiotherapy.
