Our experience with therapist Sabrina Roach at Seeds of Hope was extremely disappointing and concerning. During a session, my child was told that “there are worse levels of trauma.” Hearing something like this in therapy was deeply upsetting. Therapy should be a safe place where children feel supported and validated, not compared to others in a way that makes them question whether their feelings are legitimate. After that interaction, my child began doubting their own feelings and experiences instead of feeling supported. In our experience, this response undermined trust in the therapeutic process and made us uncomfortable continuing care. Because of this experience, we chose to end services with Seeds of Hope. I have also submitted a formal complaint to the College of Alberta Psychologists regarding the incident. Families seeking therapy for their children deserve trauma-informed care that validates a child’s experience and provides a supportive environment. I cannot recommend this therapist based on our experience.

Been going here for 2 years now. The most wonderful front desk Staff, amazing therapists and a selection of personalities and techniques to suit the patient.

I have been seeing Chantel for 6 years and have followed her from 2 different clinics. She is amazing at what she does! I cannot recommend her enough. I have also seen Alycia on a couple of occasions. Knowing Chantel over the last 6 years I would easily recommend anyone who she has at her clinic as I wold trust she has hired the best. The clinic itself is so bright and welcoming. It has a cozy feel to it! I tell all my friends to go here!
