“This college is a scam. They failed me and more than six of my friends in different programs over the last two years. They’ll fail you for tiny reasons. If you pass the test, they’ll fail you in the practicals or placement. It’s hell if you’re an international student. If you take a job-focused program, there’s like a 70% chance they’ll fail you. When international students fail, we can’t get a work permit or study permit unless we pay another 10k CAD and take the course again. That’s how they make extra money off us. They actually pick certain students and tell other profs to mark them down in everything. I couldn’t win. They even tried to blame me for something I didn’t do, so I just dropped out. Came back home with a ton of debt. Luckily my parents had my back. That college wrecked my life. No prof will help you, even if you’re crying right in front of them. I ran into a lot of racism too. They’ve got anti-racism and LGBTQ posters everywhere, but trust me, they treat everyone like crap. You only figure that out when you actually need help.”Read moreShow less

“I really didn’t enjoy my time at Sault college. They’re too serious they will write you up for the smallest things to clothes. Most professors seem like they don’t care about whether you succeed or fail. I didn’t stay on campus but I heard it’s horrible from the people who did. This school feels like a giant scam just to get money from international students. So take this as a warning if you’re Canadian or an international students don’t go here. This school really isn’t worth it, they love looking for issues instead of trying to help their students. If you have a choice don’t waste your money on this school.”Read moreShow less

“The experience of international students at Sault College is marked by neglect and a lack of support. None of the staff are receptive; they ignore students’ difficulties and show little care for course materials or the progress of classes. Complaints are not taken seriously, and there is no effort to help students resolve academic or personal issues. Although the infrastructure is good, the real problem lies with the faculty, coordinators, and even the financial department. The service is cold and lacking empathy, making it clear that student well-being is not a priority. Academic support practically does not exist: there is no help with adaptation or bureaucratic matters. The promises of quality, support, and opportunities are not fulfilled in practice. The result is devastating for those coming from abroad: a sense of abandonment, frustration, and disrespect. International students, who pay higher fees to study here, end up realizing that the institution only cares about money, not about education or the experience of those who trusted the college.”Read moreShow less

“Absolutely horrible college. This is the second college I've been to and is by far the worst. You will be harassed, belittled and threatened from random facility simply because they do not like the way you present yourself (even when it's within student conduct standards) The academic dishonest is only taken seriously for candian students any preformed from international students will be overlooked even with proof because all the college cares about is money. There are a few good teachers but most simply won't do their jobs and any reports against teachers for harassment or not doing their jobs is not taken seriously. The non teaching faculty is also a joke as they will lie to you about what needed to be done to say enrolled (OSAP) so they don't have to do work then make you pay late fees after you were told not to worry about anything. This happened to several students so it's clear it's a money scam. If you are a Canadian student save your money and don't bother as you will be treated like garbage in favor of international students and most of the teachers do not care about student success or learning as they get paid regardless of if they do their jobs or not. “Amazing college! Love the gym here. I'm currently enrolled as an electrical engineering student. Love the program. Amazing staff apart from one teacher bazlur horrible teacher shouldn't have a teacher's license. Shouldn't even be authorized to teach electrical engineering. I'm sure he's a great teacher of coding and I'll find out next semester but bazlur Rasheed should be fired and the dean of the college hasn't done anything about it. Luckily we have a new Dean. “RUN RUN RUN! Please run away from this school especially as an international student. As an international student, we hear what sets Canadian apart is their kindness and empathy. I wonder if that is true or just internet propaganda. My experience and all of my friend’s experiences with this school has been nothing short of traumatizing. I will tell a story of my friend, who needed just a copy of her transcript to apply for her study permit extension and COOP work permit. She reached out to the school and the person that responded to her email was so mean and rude She/he does not seem to care about her individual situation, all responses to her lengthy emails was generic - No, we cannot help you! This was for a semester she already completed and paid for, which should be right to have access to her academic transcript. Eventually, she had to run around and source for the funds applied for her COOP late. Due to long processing time from IRCC, her application is delayed, she cannot start COOP and now on the brink of losing her status. All because a school cannot show an iota of empathy and grant her temporary access to her transcript. That’s just one friends experience, I can’t even begin to talk about mine or other friends’. “Staff are helpful, kind and attentive. There are good options to buy food and also nice environment for all. The building is beautiful and easy access to all rooms, very inclusive.”
