“Edit/Update Reply: I didn't intend to follow-up my Google review, however based on the 'reply from owner' I feel it is now warranted. I would like to address a number of discrepancies in the reply. 1. We do recommend that our guests arrive 15 to 30 minutes prior to their treatment to allow for parking, completion of intake forms, and changing." - Please see the attached screenshot taken directly from the email sent to me in advance to my appointment. The email is titled 'Your Jan 30th Visit at Salt & Ivy' and requested that I arrive there 5-10 early. I frankly feel gaslit by the response saying you "recommend that guests arrive 15 to 30 mins prior.” Perhaps their emails say that since I’ve had my visit or it’s conveyed to customers over the phone, but this was not information I was given. - I wasn't offered to visit the change room, before or after my appointment. - I found the map confusing/misleading. I was dropped off so I thought as it looked I could go along the left side of the main building to get to the spa. When I went into the main entrance there was no one there to ask or clarify with. I walked around a bit more and still couldn't figure it out - so I called immediately then. If there was a board at the front door near the lounge/restaurant concierge that said to continue to the stairs downstairs, I could have probably found my way there. 2. “Our skilled RMTs work with each individual guest regarding their personal health history and comfort level.” - This positions me as a liar and that is quite disappointing coming from the business. I gave an incredibly detailed intake form that laid out all of my details. If the RMT needed clarification - they should have asked. The reality is that I was probably too complicated of a client for the RMT I saw, which is completely fine. Just advertise your massage offerings as such. 3. “Sensitivity to fragrance, table positioning and post treatment discomfort are important considerations that we appreciate always being brought to our attention - I’m not sure if this is implying that these considerations are typically discussed, because that was not my experience. I was never asked about the face pillow, I was never asked about my sensitivity to fragrance, light level, temperature… nothing of that sort. “Always appreciate being brought to our attention”, if someone has already done so - I would recommend updated training to ensure at minimum the fragrance sensitivity is considered. The fragrance gave me a migraine that I was able to resolve the same evening, but would have been nice to avoid. ------- Original review: I had an RMT service Jan 30/2026. I arrived the recommended 5 mins early but couldn't find the spa. I found the map provided a bit confusing. The person who did my massage was very kind, but I think maybe unfamiliar with how my pre-existing health conditions can be affected by treatment. I am now less than 24 hours in extreme pain directly as a result of that discrepancy. As I was leaving to pay, I was offered tea but at that point I already had my wallet out ready to leave. I booked at the spa thinking that there would be some of the additional experiences that I've found at other spas, but didn't find that here. The tea might have been lovely but I wasn't offered it until I was heading out the door. I would also warn people if you're sensitive to fragrance, the massage oil is quite strong smelling. Even after a shower, I felt like I could still smell it. Last note is that if you have TMJ/TMD issues, the massage table pillow is pretty painful for an extended period of time. Overall, I am just disappointed to have spent premium pricing to not have a premium experience and to be left in an incredible pain. I would maybe stick to skin treatments like facials if I were ever to try this spa again. (Would be a 1-star review, but everyone I encountered was very kind and had lovely energy about them)”Read moreShow less

“This was one of the best spa experiences I've had! Everyone was so lovely, and Sasha did an amazing job on my hot stone massage. She took the time to understand my needs and made sure I was comfortable the entire time, even as she worked through some very tough knots with my TMJ. Thank you again, I will be back the next time I'm in town!”Read moreShow less

“Such a luxurious and relaxing experience. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted in the gorgeous lobby with water and a hot towel before trying the complimentary Wellsystem Wave machine. What a great way to relax before your treatment! The staff were so sweet and accommodating. I had an incredible massage with Sasha - she is so skilled and I felt way better after! The space itself (including the bathrooms) was beautiful and made for a really special experience. Highly recommend!”Read moreShow less

“My husband and I recently visited Salt & Ivi Spa in Victoria for an RMT massage with Sasha, and it was truly one of the best spa experiences we've ever had. From the moment we checked in, everything felt thoughtful and welcoming — the lovely tea service, warm hot towels, and the serene atmosphere immediately put us at ease. To top it off, we were treated to a complimentary session on the wave bed, which was the perfect way to drift into full relaxation. Sasha was absolutely wonderful, and every detail of the visit felt carefully considered. We will definitely be back — highly recommend!”Read moreShow less

“My wonderful man and I celebrated our 20th Valentine’s Day together a little late this year but we were lucky to have waited.. we chose a couple’s signature massage last week, with a mineral facial, and Gua Sha treatment and we were each able to add a complementary 15 minutes Wellness massage. I can’t tell you how impressed I am with the staff, the entire spa experience itself, and the beautiful atmosphere and decor. The setting is enchanting set on a stunning property, with lovely features everywhere. Once inside Salt and Ivy you are treated to a magnificent cherry tree in blossom, with stunning furniture, a Himalayan salt entrance desk, a carefully curated and serene decor, and an invitation to relax your senses. It’s really exquisite. Our side by side signature massages followed by mineral facials were an experience like no other. We were lucky to have a beautiful Himalayan salt wall in our room and it helped to make the experience even more magical and ambient. There are so many delightful extra special touches too many to list from our spa day, plus I’d spoil the surprise for those of you who visit. All I can say is that we are glowing and pampered from head to toe and I can’t say enough about the Salt and Ivy Spa at the Rosemead Hotel. Absolute bliss. You won’t be disappointed in a single second there from start to finish.”Read moreShow less

“Beautiful new spa with the most gorgeous lounge, and welcoming and warm staff. Maia and Tanja are absolute gems at the front desk. Gwen’s massage was exactly what I needed. She is professional and very skilled in her trade. She personalized my treatment and I felt very well taken care of. The personalized tea service using antique cups and saucers…well done! The hand made shortbread cookie at the end not only rounded off the experience perfectly but it was also so delicious. Thank you salt and Ivy, I will definitely be back.”Read moreShow less

“From the moment I arrived, my experience was nothing short of exceptional. The spa’s atmosphere is serene and beautifully calming. Every staff member was incredibly warm, attentive, and welcoming, making the entire visit feel effortless and relaxing. I had an acupuncture and massage treatment and it was especially impressive—the needle insertion was so seamless and gentle that it felt completely stress-free. To top it all off, the delicious tea and a cookie after my treatment was the perfect ending to an already wonderful experience. I left feeling deeply relaxed, refreshed, and eager to return.”Read moreShow less
