“I want to be clear that the nurse (Marjorie) who eventually contacted me was very kind, professional, and reassuring. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the company’s office staff and overall coordination. After surgery, I called to ask about a home nurse who was supposed to contact me to arrange a visit. I spent the entire day following up, with no one able to give me clear information. It was past 6:00 p.m. on a long weekend before I finally received a call — despite needing a nurse to change dressings and check surgical drains over the next several days. The front desk staff were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Rather than helping, they spoke as though patient concerns were an inconvenience. When their lack of follow-through was questioned, their attitude became worse. Management did not return my call. What is especially concerning is that there are multiple similar reviews describing rude staff and poor communication, which suggests this is a systemic issue rather than an isolated incident. While the nurse herself was excellent, no patient recovering from surgery should have to spend a full day chasing essential care or being spoken to disrespectfully. I would strongly caution others and hope management addresses these ongoing issues.”Read moreShow less

“They cancel on you, with short same day notice. some of the workers are late, rough, rude. No regular staff. I wouldn't recommend them at all.”

“SRT is a terrible company that regularly cancels appointments. My father's PSW services were cancelled again, two days in a row, leaving us scrambling to work out alternative arrangements. The PSW's are all willing to work but this agency will not pay them the overtime. It makes me wonder what sort of contract was negotiated with "Home and Community Care", formerly called the LHIN. If they can't honour their commitments then they don't deserve the contract. If you are in the Etobicoke area and are offered care services, opt for "Storefront Humber", they never cancel and have a much more efficient service. I have spoken to at least 3 different supervisors at SRT in the last 5 months about cancellations and nothing has been done about it. Furthermore, their turn over of supervisors is frequent and speaks volumes about the poor management of this company. Avoid this company if you can.”Read moreShow less
