“Unfortunately, you study there thinking that you will learn well, but in reality, they teach nothing. There is a huge gap between the lectures and the exams. The curriculum is massive, and the time is very limited. They expect you to be like a machine. There is no point in studying huge amounts of material only to forget everything after the exams. “Even 1 star is way too much for them. An absolutely horrifying experience studying CS here. I am genuinely traumatized and depressed. They do not care about their students AT ALL. You could say your entire family died and they will not care or accommodate. There is no campus. Profs are terrible and you have to self study concepts from the 1940s with literally nothing available online as the topics are extremely outdated and never used in a real life setting. Social life DOES NOT exist here. Despite trying to get involved there’s still a high chance you’ll end up COMPLETELY ISOLATED and will have to suffer alone for 4 years. Transferred here from York but I truly regret it. This shouldn’t even be called a university. I had the worst experience of my life here and was isolated, depressed and burnt out the whole time I was here. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go to a REAL AND PROPER university like York, McMaster or uoft and AVOID this place or your life will be ruined in so many ways. “They need to be more helpful towards their students. Especially when they are trying to get into class so they can finally graduate. It would seem, you are on your own. “Edit: The university still has not dealt fully with my accessibility issues and I have now come across HUNDREDS of other students who have also had this problem. This school is not disability friendly. I find many of the services and parts of the university pretty good. Had a really horrible experience with my accessibility needs but that’s slowly on the up and up. Many parts of the website are confusing including that the test centre only has its address in the most mundane place ever. The student centre is really cool inside though!”Read moreShow less

“It was my first time to pass by Ryerson University. I was shocked by all the garbage in front of their Student Learning Centre on campus. The stairs were very very dirty too. It gave me a terrible experience and a really bad impression.”
