“Comments from patient Michael Bolton: There are few life changing events, but my experience with Rory has been one. Prior to seeing Rory, my pain was increasing and my physical abilities were diminishing . I was only able to sit, stand or walk for short periods. My doctors stated that there was little they could do for my spine or the pain related to it. I took a chance and saw Rory on the recommendation of a friend. The relief was apparent from my first visit. After five visits, I was back to many activities I thought were ended for me. “I was a bit skeptical about going to Rory because I had tried acupuncture before and felt like a pincushion with a row of needles going up my arm and no results. They just wanted to know if I had insurance coverage to book my next appointment. Complete waste of time. I had back surgery in October and was told no bending or twisting. In December I had an appointment at the hospital in which I was twisted over and over again despite my saying that I wasn't supposed to twist. When I got home I felt like someone had my nerves in my right lower back/hip in their hand and were squeezing. The pain was constant and uncomfortable. I could not stand up straight. When I called my doctor he gave me pain meds. I had already taken so many with the surgery and after the surgery that that was not the route I really wanted to go. When a friend recommended Rory and told me how great Rory was and how he helped him and his wife, I decided to give it a try. One appointment wouldn't hurt, right? When I showed Rory where the pain was he said something about S1 and put a needle in my left hand. Within mere minutes I felt so much better. I've had two visits and cannot believe the difference! My friends can't get over how well I'm moving now. I stand up straight and walk with a pep in my step. “Came to Rory with severe eczema , dry skin and hives almost all over my body. This caused problems sleeping and impacted my quality of life. “I’ve been dealing with eczema and topical steroid withdrawal symptoms since January last year and had seen multiple doctors and tried various approaches with little improvement. Working with Rory Holwerda has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health. Rory took the time to really listen and understand what I was going through. His treatments using acupuncture and herbal medicine have made a noticeable difference in my symptoms, and over the past couple of months I’ve seen consistent improvement.
