About the clinic
Welcome! If it’s your first time here, please take a moment to read below to see if my treatment approach and clinic space align with your needs. As this is a home clinic, I request that you email hello@rockroot.ca prior to booking your first appointment (or include a note in your booking to confirm that you’ve read through my website). Note that I’m gradually returning from maternity leave and may require flexibility as we navigate our everchanging routines.
Treatments follow an osteopathically informed approach; my goal is to restore mobility and functionality at all levels by addressing the body as a whole. I’m a problem solver who chases causes, not symptoms. Treatment includes detailed health history conversations, thorough assessments, and non-invasive techniques that complement your unique framework. I do not use oils or lotions. Click here to learn more about my therapeutic style and clinic space . If you are specifically looking for deep tissue or Swedish relaxation massage, I recommend trying another RMT.
I aim to offer long-term relief. While every body is different, I typically recommend 3 sessions spaced 2-3 weeks apart to start. After that, we usually transition into maintenance mode (4-6 weeks or as needed). Gaps between sessions prevent overtreatment and enable us to see how your body adapts.Read more about Rockroot Massage Therapy | RMTShow less

“Kristen is amazing!!! I love her style of massage, her myofacial technique and active release therapy have been a great help for my problem areas. She is always accommodating and easy to get ahold of. Her at home clinic is a clean and cool space, the heated table is also a great touch for extra relaxation. Her website is also extremely informational, and booking an appointment is super easy, highly highly recommend!”Read moreShow less

“I went to Kristen for therapy following a knee replacement. Physio had gone well, but I was still struggling with some soft tissue issues, specifically very tight hamstrings and quads complicated by a realignment of the knee. Kristen quickly assessed my situation and offered a number of insights into how to address it. In addition to massage therapy that offered much needed relief she was able to recommend exercises that were very helpful. Recently I had a private instructional yoga session with Kristen that helped me address the need to include more stretching and toning in my exercise regime. At just past six months post-surgery I am well ahead of the recovery timeline and attribute a lot of that success to Kristen’s professional services.”Read moreShow less

“Kristen is amazing! Every time I go to her, I come out feeling 100%. The home care she’s given me has helped a ton in the general body soreness I was experiencing. I’d recommend her to anyone, even if you don’t have major issues. She really surprised me with her body assessment and connecting the dots with what was causing my issues.”Read moreShow less

“I did Kristen’s weekly outdoor yoga class this past summer and loved them! Kristen is great at breaking things down and explaining each movement. Her class is a safe space to explore your body and mind and her teaching style is very therapeutic. I always come away grounded and with a renewed sense of ease. It’s a great workout too! Highly recommend”Read moreShow less
