“I'm not here to talk about what the staff at the rehabilitation center have no control over. Meals, hours of physio and mattress availability are not even worth talking about. Lets speak of what is within that building that yes, is in great need of renovation. I arrived like many, paralyzed chest down and at the mercy of whomever drew my staw for the day. I had some rough days and worked hard when I could. I asked for more physio and I was granted extra time. As a 250lb man I was not at all impressed by the menu selection either but I spoke to the resident nutritionist and was granted an expanded menu. The staff in my opinion, did all they could do with the resources at hand. I was honestly bewildered by the absolute devotion to the effort in making my story one of success due to the fact that my energy and attitude where met in equal measure by each and every staff member I interacted with. They all truly thrive from seeing the fruits of their labour, I was so lucky to have had the opportunity to occupy a bed there for the three months or so I was in residence. Now nearly 3 years after the incident that brought me to them, I'm working as I did before and I've got my life back for the most part. No, I'll never be 100% again but if it wasn't for the amazing staff at this place of miracles, I can't imagine what today would look like. “Garbage food, they feed to people in jail,in bad need of renovations incompetent managers a few nurses there should find other employment mostly the senior members were rude ignorant to me and others. Most of the nurses that were new still had some compassion for the patients I was admitted paralyzed didn't even have the right bed for me for five days after meny complaints and having to go back on pain meds because of there lack of interest of my needs the actual rehabilitation was good if they would actually rehab you for more than 45mins a day if your lucky you show up on time to wait 15 mins into your allotted 1 hour for therapy sad the state of nova Scotia health care”Read moreShow less

“My physiotherapist Lauren is amazing! After more than two years suffering with terrible pain, and going through multiple scans, tests and procedures she was the only person who figured out what my issue was. “A long time friend of the family is currently here as she suffered a stroke. She says that the nurses are fantastic but the food choices are terrible.For her lunch today was given a cup of beef broth and a bun ! They call that a meal?
