Colleen walked me through and helped me heal through the most traumatic parts of my life. I’m grateful for my therapy sessions through reflective soul

Saw Coleen today for the first appointment, loved her approach. I’m excited to continue with her.

I saw Colleen for a handful of sessions. Several sessions were her asking a ton of questions some quite personal such as if I had trauma. I didn’t feel ready to dive into all of that so soon and honeslty I wasn’t truthful with some of the questions because they came way too early in the sessions for me. I am a honest person but it’s a knee jerk reaction to keep traumatic memories to myself until I got to know her more. When I did bring something up she said we would ‘process that’ but didnt address it in session and moved on to more questions. I’m not comfortable answering questions about traumatic things in my life first off but then moving on so quickly to other questions was kind of jarring. Everything was meant to be processed through accelerated resolution therapy not discussed in session when she was asking questions. Not that she ever shut me down but as my personal issues came up she would just say we will ‘process that.’ I started the accelerated resolution therapy which did nothing for me. During those sessions I felt like I was just thinking of memories alone (which I was literally doing) but I had to line them up with the time she thought it would take to replay them in my head. I have no other experience to contrast this with but it all felt a bit akward and clinical and relied heavily on the accelerated resolution therapy without first building rapport and finding out where I was at and what was affecting me. I also found not giving choice in approach not helpful. I didn’t come in asking for the accelerated resolution therapy but was directed towards it despite her being trained in a lot of approaches. She was welcoming and seemed easy going, professional and approachable but overall her process is a dealbreaker.

The team at Reflective Soul is so warm and they genuinely care. It’s rare to find professionals who really take the time to understand you as a whole person, not just your symptoms. I love that they offer so much under one roof so everything feels connected and intentional. I’m so grateful to have found Colleen and her team. Highly recommend

Kyle Loney is empowering, ACT-driven, and deeply collaborative. He builds a safe, curious space to help reclaim control, align with values, face emotions with courage, and strengthen relationships. Perfect for anyone looking to step back into the driver's seat. Kyle is a great addition to the team

Colleen was an abolute god send. After taking the time to properly get to know me and my personal needs, she promtly developed a plan and executed it with my consent. She checked in with me consistently throughout our sessions and was very receptive of my wants and needs. Colleen is able to assist with different needs and is equiped to handle a vast aray of issues. I personally highly recommend Colleen for your counselling needs; whether or not you've been to therapy or counselling before, Colleen will be a great fit, with great advice.

I've thoroughly enjoyed Colleen's approach and communication. She has a very warm and empathetic listening demeanor and really has thoughtful insight of our discussions to follow, she makes you think of different aspects. Colleen also offers solid tools and advice with directions to work towards. I have enjoyed my experience so far, and I highly recommend her for your journey too.

Ineffective counselling services that can cause more harm than help- not an effective use of time or money. Poor communication skills (didn’t receive timely responses about appointment availability and next steps) and poor (or non existent) group facilitation skills. Was not transparent about inadequate experience level and scope of practice as it relates to family/group counselling and oncology care until after ~7 sessions (very costly) . Would not recommend. A relatively newly registered counsellor who doesn’t have a lot of experience but advertises as someone with extensive experience. Best to find someone who isn’t as green and is honest and upfront about their practice procedures, scope and experience level. Overall, disappointed with services provided.
