Nothing but good things about the wound clinic, been going every day for two weeks! They have the best nurses! Will be sad once I get discharged

Great clinic no issues. Although I will say I sometimes feel like I've gone into medevil times or "the dark ages" just because of the colours of things

We have been bringing our son to Ravensong Community Health Centre for his vaccinations and, until today, every visit has been a very positive experience. The nurses we previously saw were patient, kind, attentive, and always took the time to explain the vaccines, ask about concerns, and give us a clear heads-up before administering the shot. Unfortunately, our experience today for our son’s 18-month vaccination was very different. The nurse seemed rushed and did not explain which vaccine was being given or ask if we had any questions. Before we realized it, she administered the injection without any warning. Because we were not told she was about to give the shot, my husband was not holding our toddler tightly in that moment. Anyone who has a toddler knows that suddenly restraining them without preparation can escalate the situation — we were simply waiting for the usual cue like, “Hold him tight, I’m going to give the shot now,” as other nurses had done. During the injection, the needle left a scratch on our son’s arm, which caused a visible bloody line. When I pointed it out and asked about it, the nurse did not acknowledge what had happened and instead told us we should have held him tighter. While we understand that small incidents can happen, it was disappointing that there was no acknowledgment or reassurance. As parents, it is difficult to see your child hurt, and a little empathy goes a long way. We truly appreciated our previous experiences at this clinic, but today’s interaction felt rushed and dismissive. We hope this feedback is taken constructively, as communication and compassion make a significant difference for families during vaccination visits. Nurse 1, 9:30 Am February 14/2026

We’ve had such a great experience with the public health nurse and speech therapist at this community health centre. From the very beginning, they have been incredibly professional, supportive, and genuinely caring. They take the time to listen, explain, and guide us through every step, which has made such a positive impact on our family. Their support has been truly helpful, and we always feel welcomed and reassured whenever we visit. We’re very grateful for the dedication and compassion shown by the entire team. Highly recommend this health centre!

Dr. Tyler Varnals is not doing his profession in “good faith” and I suspect The College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC, The Mental Health Review Board, the BC courts, and Raven Song Community Health Centre all know full well and are “looking the other way”. Dr. Tyler Varnals is lying about my “mental health”, saying I am delusional and schizophrenic, even though it is obvious I am of sound mind and judgement. I suspect he may be lying about the “mental health” of his other patients as well. Although lying about a patient’s health may not typically be a requirement of the profession of psychiatry, I suspect discreetly this is what Dr. Tyler Varnals was hired to do. In short, it appears he is diagnosing patients as “mentally ill” as a punishment. Generally speaking it seems the punishment is for those who have broken public or private agreements, broken sworn oaths, broken NDAs (non-disclosure agreements), broken serious obligations, or not fulfilled a duty in certain roles, etc. I have never made a serious agreement, sworn a private oath, signed an NDA, etc, or ever been asked to. So why then am I being punished by Dr. Tyler Varnals and his colleagues? I am being punished for following Jesus Christ and speaking openly about what the world says should be spoken about only privately or secretly. Even after choosing to stop speaking about certain subjects (that I have learned may land you in the psych ward) Dr. Tyler Varnals continues to suggest there is no end in sight for my certification or “extended leave” from the hospital under the BC Mental Health Act and thus I must continue to take his forced medication daily, do blood work monthly and attend meetings with him (or another psychiatrist) regularly. If I fail to fulfill these commitments Dr. Tyler Varnals may choose to phone the police and have me arrested and brought back to the hospital. Many people would probably describe Dr. Tyler Varnals as a calm and kind man. These qualities are a veneer. During our meetings Dr. Tyler Varnals can be seen smiling or smirking at inappropriate times, often exuding a subtle arrogance, as though our doctor-patient relationship amuses him. During a Mental Health Review Panel when I asked Dr. Tyler Varnals “why are you lying about my health man?” Dr. Tyler Varnals was seen (by everyone attending the zoom meeting) to laugh and stare at the floor before awkwardly pretending he didn’t understand the question and was unsure how to answer. Something odd and also worth mentioning about Dr. Tyler Varnals is that based on our conversations it would seem Dr. Tyler Varnals has very poor insight into the reasons why someone may develop a “mental health disorder”. Simply put, he doesn’t seem to have the knowledge of how someone becomes “mentally ill”. If the doctor doesn’t understand how the patient becomes “mentally ill” how can he offer any real relief or remedy? The Mental Health Review Board, an example of one body of people whose responsibility it is to hold doctors accountable and decertify patients, has also obviously failed to do their profession in “good faith”. Despite composing strong arguments against Dr. Tyler Varnals and the negligence of the Mental Health Review Board the Mental Health Review Board continues to honor Dr. Tyler Varnals lies and poorly constructed case notes without any serious investigation or serious probing into his proceedings and diagnosis. In short, I suspect the Mental Health Review Board also understands full well Dr. Tyler Varnals real purpose as a psychiatrist is to surreptitiously diagnose his patients (his victims) as delusional, mentally ill, schizophrenic, etc, as a punishment for their disobediences (breaking NDA, breaking oath) and I suspect the Mental Health Review Board members are collectively turning a blind eye. In conclusion, I will mention something that may come of some surprise to readers. Dr. Tyler Varnals may be somewhat of a victim himself. It is possible he his being coerced or strong-armed into doing his profession dishonestly. Those above him may be the most guilty.

Used to be such a great place to go, but these days front office is quick to judge and reactive. Following up on prescription communication issues or even just trying to make an appointment can lead to very intense responses. I understand it must be tiring being underfunded with their mandate changes, but it's so hard to witness the shift in culture. Recently transitioning out of care here and they said they would send a last prescription for important medication, and never did despite myself and my pharmacy enquiring multiple times during the time I was still a patient. Saddens me to leave a bad review, but I can't in good conscience say nothing when there's a lot of work to be done to have Ravensong be a clinic to be proud of again.

Absolutely atrocious. Dr tong at ravensong specifically. Will discuss my personal medical records with anyone who calls to ask including my landlord. I've been out of several medications and going thru withdrawals for everything from sleeping pills to anti depressants because she is ignoring phone calls from the pharmacy and reception is taking over 2 weeks just to respond How is there not an option for negative stars? For your own safety stay away from ravensong

I have been watching my husband go to the clinic for 5 years now and every time he goes he worse and when he arrived he has an infection on his foot the last appointment he left limping because of the way the nurse wrapped it and he hasn't lived in about a 9 months they keep making appointments for him fill out his PWD yet they say they like to get to know him better even though. They have been his family doctor for 10 years and they won't believe him when he tells them what is wrong. they keep trying to push the methadone on him. everybody in my building who the home nurse comes and sees haven't been healed at all, some of them for over 5 years. He also suffered from a parasite (worms) which made him loose and ezcessive amount of weight and they kept trying to blame it on his methamphetamine use , even test him when he doesn't even do math Nut I really do love the nurse named Sasha she is a sweetheart and she's very good at what she does God bless her soul
