“I recently visited this naturopathic clinic for prolotherapy and was disappointed by a series of communication issues. At my first appointment, the practitioner omitted dextrose, even though it is a vital component of prolotherapy. I had specifically asked whether their dextrose was made from corn because I have a confirmed corn allergy, and the clinic verified this allergy. The practitioner told me he would follow up on the source of the dextrose and get back to me. However, he never followed up, and at my second appointment he continued with injections again without dextrose and without providing any explanation or answering my original question. No alternatives were discussed, and no clarification was offered about how removing dextrose would affect the effectiveness of the treatment. As a patient with allergies, I rely on practitioners to be transparent, proactive, and thorough—especially when modifying a standard treatment. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience here. I hope the clinic improves communication and ensures that essential components of treatments are addressed openly so patients can make informed decisions.”
