I’ve been seeing Hannah at Pivot Physio while recovering from a knee dislocation, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. She is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and supportive, and has helped me make huge improvements throughout my recovery. Hannah takes the time to explain everything clearly and tailors treatment to my needs, which has made a real difference in my progress. The whole experience at Pivot Physio has been excellent, and I’m very grateful for the care I’ve received. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because they won’t submit claims to two insurance providers, which makes it a bit inconvenient for me. However, the automatic submission to one insurance provider is very helpful, and the online booking system and receipt emails are great.

I visited Dr. Sofia Solar Cafaggi today with my mother, as she needed my help with translation during the appointment. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. During the examination, my mother was unable to lift her arm to the level the doctor expected due to pain, and instead of showing understanding, the doctor became visibly frustrated. The assessment felt rushed and lacked attention to my mother’s condition and comfort. The doctor was also speaking quickly and using medical terminology out loud without allowing me enough time to translate and explain things to my mother. When I politely asked her to slow down so I could assist, her response was dismissive, including remarks like “oh my god” and saying she couldn’t explain more. Overall, the interaction felt unprofessional and lacking in empathy. Clear communication and patient-centered care are essential, especially when language barriers are involved. I strongly believe that this level of conduct does not reflect the standards expected in healthcare. I hope the doctor takes steps to improve her communication and patient interaction skills, including further training if necessary. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration so that future patients receive a more supportive and professional standard of care.

At an age north of 75, I have had continuing issues with a painful shoulder rotator cuff. Pivot had been recommended to me, and I did not hesitate to be referred there. I have worked with Hannah Green, who devised a program of specific exercises at Pivot and the Embodia platform at home every day. I have also been referred to Dr Solar at Pivot. Everyone is professional and friendly. It would be difficult to imagine better care, and it is no surprise that my shoulder is improved and made the best it can be.

I reached out to Pivot Sport Medicine (Bloor/West) about two weeks ago seeking an occupational therapist, based on a referral from Sunnybrook and my physiotherapist, specifically someone with experience in hand therapy. Unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing. It took some time to hear back from the clinic manager Gloria, and when I did, I was informed via email that the OT I was referred to was no longer accepting patients. I then spoke Gloria, to clarify that I was only looking for a splint and not ongoing therapy sessions. She requested documentation from Sunnybrook, which I sent over a week ago. Since then, I have received no acknowledgment of receipt, and my follow-up attempts to reach her by phone have been unsuccessful. Additionally, the Bloor West location directed me to another clinic, where I was told that the OT is no longer there, despite her still being listed on the website. Overall, I found the communication frustrating and the handling of my request by the office manager to be unprofessional. After more than two weeks, I am still without access to the OT I was referred to. I'm sure I'll find another one but the whole process was very off-putting. UPDATE: Dinah, the owner, reached out personally, and I want to be clear that my earlier review wasn’t about the treatment or the clinicians. Dinah has been genuinely wonderful and very thoughtful throughout this whole process. My concern was really about the administrative experience. It was frustrating to wait over two weeks for an answer, and when I finally did hear back, I didn’t feel fully heard especially since I was advised to see a physiotherapist even though it was already known that a physiotherapist had referred me in the first place. I appreciate Dinah taking the time to connect, and I hope this helps give a clearer picture of what happened.

I had here a massage treatment for sport related pain/strain, from Veronica, one of their RMT. She was punctual and professional, the treatment felt great, and she gave me good pointers to take care of my issue further.

I’ve been dealing with low back pain for a while. I had a quick assessment with Ben Brett, and the small adjustments he did made a world of a difference. He explained everything clearly and I feel much better after seeing him. I would highly recommend!

I'm having a very positive experience with Pivot and, particularly, physiotherapist Hannah Greene. The facilities are very clean and well organized. I really appreciate the light-filled examination and exercise room. The staff combine professionalism with a light and human touch to create a pleasant patient experience. An online booking system and an app that provides descriptions of exercises customized by the physiotherapist and tracks one's progress add to the positive experience and help me stay on track. Last but definitely not least, I'm really impressed with my physiotherapist, Hannah Greene. She, too, combines professionalism with a friendly and calm demeanor. Hannah pays close attention to how I respond to exercises and will challenge me to the right degree without going too easy or causing discomfort. I sought physiotherapy because of a recently torn meniscus that caused severe pain and discomfort. With Hannah's help, I've made great progress within a week and feel ready to embark on a trip I can't postpone. I was dreading the trip. Now I look forward to it. And I look forward to continuing my work with Hannah upon my return.

I have been very pleased with the level of expertise and personalization that Erika L is able to provide at Pivot. Erika specializes in providing exercise therapy and I began with her after it was determined that I had attained maximum benefit from my physio treatment. She took the time to understand my needs in terms of my injury, and took full consideration of my goals and the time commitment I was able to make to my exercises on a regular basis. I really appreciated the short videos she took of me learning the exercises, that allowed me to have a solid and consistent reference point when working on my own. She also gave strong feedback when I returned for my follow up. Her direction was tailored to small adjustments that I could make to enable a stronger recovery and result. Erika is very personable and knowledgeable, and a sincere pleasure to work with.

I started working with Erika in November to streamline my exercise plan so I could keep up with my physio while also doing other forms of exercise I actually enjoy. She came up with a great plan that's both manageable and effective, and has been intensifying the workout as I get stronger. She's knowledgeable, perceptive and kind, and I can't recommend her and the other professionals I see at Pivot (Yehia and Falcon, who are also miracle workers in their own way) enough.
