Ross is wonderfully efficient. Diagnosed condition and structured orthotics which work so well. And the receptionist gave me all the paperwork to get the insurance right first time. Thank youmentions Ross Baines →

Results. That's what Ross Baines offers. I've had 3 serious injuries and always come back because I know I can trust the team here to get me back up to full speed. Where other health care providers offer phone-it-in service, PhysioPlus listens and adapts to your needs.

Went in with a pulled hip flexor after an ER visit. Couldn’t walk without resting every 10 minutes, barely got out of bed that morning. Ross had me walking normally by the end of the day and ready to go back to work. Direct billing was super smooth. 10/10 process!!

Recovering from a broken shoulder and with next to no mobility, I went to Physio Plus here in Victoria. Ross had me back kayaking 2 months later. Thanks to his guidance I am now continuing to stretch and work out daily and have never felt better. Highly recommended!

I had the very best experience with the team at PhysioPlus. Andree at the front desk is most helpful and professional. Ross is an amazing practitioner. He diligently and thoroughly attended to a complex challenge I had with my shoulder. He listens well and has a depth of knowledge and expertise that served me very well. I recommend Ross and his team without hesitation. /M

I've been coming to PhysioPlus for several years now. I'm healthy and active. But, at times, I overdo it, and know I need both the physiotherapy expertise of Ross Baines -- and his wise counsel that always accompanies it -- to get me healthy and back on a solid track. This week, I visited for overdoing it on some arm weights. Andrea, who works out front, is lovely and works with patients to accommodate urgency and scheduling needs to get them the care that Ross provides. I know this from my direct experience and, from pre-COVID times particularly, when there might be patients in the waiting room, giving me a chance to see interactions as patients make inquiries, set up appointments, or seek support on the administration of their visit or claim. And she's the same on the phone, too -- an extension of the caring environment that Ross has created. When people are in pain, or anxious about their injury and its potential impact on their lives, they're often not themselves, and don't interact with people as they usually might. Andrea understands this. I've come to think of Andrea as the "Plus" in PhysioPlus. As for Ross Baines, I have him to thank for the fact that I'm still running, swimming distance, and doing heavy weights at age 60. And working on my car, in the yard, and living life to the fullest. He takes his time to assess your situation and your concerns. He doesn't judge when you know you've overdone it, or in my case, done something silly and paid a price with an injury. What he focusses on is putting you right, with the best targeted exercises and therapies to go with them. And he'll always say this: "Do the exercises. Stop or modify your X Y, and Z, activities for XX period of time. And if it doesn't feel better in a week or 14 days, call me, and we'll take another look and try some different approaches." He may need to see some patients for additional visits, but for me, our family, and the friends I've sent to him, he's interested in setting you right: Ross's focus is on your health and recovery, not ongoing visits when they are not necessary to your recovery. With his skills and guidance -- and with me following the latter -- I've never been back for the same injury twice. I've always healed. Granted, I might well go on to overdo it and injure something else a couple of months later, but he gets that sorted, too. Last September, due to a congenital hip issue, I had a hip replaced. But first, I visited Ross to see what actions I could take to make the surgery as successful as possible, visiting him twice before the surgery to receive his guidance, and to make sure I was following it correctly. I was. And my surgery was terrific, and went stunningly well. The surgeon cited the pre-surgery work done by Ross as a factor in making the surgery so effective and successful, and me so ready for it -- enabling the surgeon to undertake some actions that were innovative. That's high praise. My run frequency and distance have had to drop with the hip replacement, as running is not really a recommended activity. But I am still running 5-6 KM every few days as part of my effort to keep my body aware that it can still run. This past week was a post-surgery milestone: I wanted to run 10KM. Slowly, sure, compared to my past runs at this distance, but with solid form. That there was no drama of any sort with this run, or any of them since the surgery -- either during or after -- or with any of my activities, is testament to the skill and care Ross provides. I view Ross and Andrea and PhysioPlus as a key part of my active lifestyle, and am grateful for their role in it.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Started with a snippy receptionist when I tried to set up an initial appointment regarding my WCB claim. Booked a week in advanced and had to wait until the day before my appointment to receive the initial forms I needed to complete. Had to wait 20 min past my scheduled time before I got to see Ross with no acknowledgement or apology. I was rudely questioned as to why I’m not returning to one of my former physios regarding the same condition (most were from programs provided by WCB and I had to move). I was asked who issued me a certificate preventing me from returning to work that I don’t even know whether or not it exists. I didn’t realized I need certification not to work because of an injury. In the end, I was told there’s not much he could do to help with the pain (work on flexibility in surrounding areas) but will take me on as a client. I felt that Ross didn’t want to work with me but would if required. As a potential client the lack of common human decency will prevent me from ever recommending this Physiotherapist to anyone.

The whole team is wonderful — from the front desk to the treatment room. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and cares about making sure you’re supported and getting the help you need. I’ve worked with both Ross and Christine, both who are attentive and provide excellent care, resources, and exercises to support beyond your appointment. I highly recommend.

I attended PhysioPlus to recover from a workplace injury and had the pleasure of being Ross's patient. He was very knowledgeable and helped me regain nearly full use of my shoulder within a month. I wish that he had listened a bit more when I mentioned my migrating pain and how it affected me. I now have issues feeling my fingers when I lift my arm above my head, but the shortcomings in my recovery are fully to blame on worksafe for their inadequacy. I would highly recommend Ross for anyone looking for a speedy recovery.
