“I would strongly advise others to avoid booking an appointment with Dr.Vanderpuije I waited approximately 45–50 minutes for my appointment, only for the consultation to last about five minutes. I attended the appointment with serious medical concerns and simply wanted them properly assessed. Instead of listening to me, dr. Vanderpuije repeatedly compared my situation to herself, saying things like, "I wouldn't do this" and "I wouldn't do that," rather than addressing my symptoms or explaining her medical reasoning. A physician's role is to evaluate the patient's concerns—not compare them to what they personally would do. I had to repeatedly ask for a requisition to help rule out possible causes of my symptoms. I felt she was more focused on dismissing my concerns. I left feeling that my health concerns had not been properly assessed. Dr Vanderpuije had no knowledge at all she should not be doctor if she has attitude and not willingness to help others. What was most shocking was when she told me that I was "challenging my practice." As a patient, I was simply asking questions and advocating for my own health. Patients have every right to ask questions and seek clarification without being made to feel like they are doing something wrong. That statement clearly showed she was lazy, not confident with her practicing as doctor she was doubting on herself. She made the appointment feel uncomfortable and unprofessional throughout. Her attitude throughout the appointment came across as dismissive, defensive, and lacking empathy. I felt rushed, with no proper physical examination , and left without confidence that my concerns had been taken seriously. I have seen other doctors at this clinic and have never had any issues with them. This experience was completely different and extremely disappointing. I will not be booking another appointment with her and cannot recommend her based on my experience.”Read moreShow less

“Dr John at Niagara falls phoenix clinic is a wonderful family doc. I met him recently for the first time and was impressed with his professional ways, manners, and his sense of compassion towards his patients. I am grateful he took me into His practice. Having a doc you can totally trust is a gift and in my case after just one encounter with him I trust him 100% that’s the kind of good man he is. The office staff are very supportive as well. “Dr Ayokunmi Alabi, has been an amazing family doctor. He is very kind, caring, and takes the time to listen to all of my concerns without making me feel rushed. He even called me personally to update me with results, which I really appreciated. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. “You can’t even book an appointment or ask for your test results over the phone anymore because everything goes through an automated computer system. And even if you’re lucky enough to get an appointment, you’re often seen by a registered nurse instead of a doctor. In my experience, they often can’t answer all my questions or fully understand my concerns, so it feels like a waste of time. Healthcare used to feel much more personal. Now it seems like the focus is more on money and efficiency than on truly caring for patients. People deserve timely access to their doctor and to feel heard when they need medical help.”Read moreShow less

“I was referred to Phoenix Medical Clinic by my naturopathic doctor, Dr. Olivia Rose, and immediately registered as a new patient once I saw the pictures and bios of the team members. I met with Dr. Jessie shortly after. This was supposed to be just an introductory meet n greet. It ended up as a full blown meeting. Dr. Jessie is a kind, empathetic, active listener. I immediately felt comfortable enough to share my medical history without fear of judgement. And in a world where, statistically, women, and in particular, Black women's medical concerns can be dismissed, ignored, overlooked, or downplayed, I feel like I have just WON the health care lottery. The whole vibe at the St. Catharines' location is like you are visiting family in a safe, diverse and inclusive space. The staff and team members are professional, courteous, patient and responsive. “Nice clinic, good people specially the receptionists. They are very helpful.Dr Sam is An awesome family physician, he is very knowledgeable and makes sure to take care of his patients the best way he can but unfortunately he left the clinic and his patients files were transferred to Dr Olude. “Dr. Berchen was absolutely amazing during our visit. From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly patient, kind, and understanding—not just with my son, but with me as well. She took the time to really listen, never made us feel rushed, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. What stood out the most was how gentle and sweet she was with my son. She created such a comfortable and safe environment for him, which made a huge difference in how the appointment went. Her approach was thoughtful and compassionate, and you can tell she genuinely cares about the children she works with. Thanks to her thoroughness and expertise, we finally have some clarity with his diagnosis, and I feel so much more confident moving forward.
