“Could not be bothered to take 20 seconds out of his day to replace a screw on glasses frame. So wont be back. Owner needs to learn about more then just selling frames and lenses. No cool frames just low quality plastic crap. No mens frames.”

“I had an amazing experience with the wonderful couple who run the eyewear business. Their collection of glasses is absolutely outstanding - so unique and diverse, with something for every style. What really impressed me was how attentive they were in helping me find the perfect pair that suited my face shape and needs. They even created a custom combo for me combining sunglasses with my prescription lenses, which I didn’t even know was possible! The service was personal, professional and above and beyond. “I used to be a customer for years and then I moved out of Province. I was back visiting family in December and decided to stop in. Phoenix Eyewear has the best selection of frames I've ever seen ...unique and very good quality. Ashtar and Kaldy both spent a good amount of time with me with me while I tried on various pairs of glasses. They have excellent taste and I felt they were very sincere with their comments and suggestions. Since I was on a timeline I was very happy that my glasses arrived earlier than expected. Since I've been back home I've had at least a dozen positive comments on my glasses. This has never happened to me before. “I stopped in this store twice in the past 2 weeks, while looking for glasses. The man is very dismissive. He hovered around me so I could not browse and when I asked what size one of the frames was, he said "I don't know". If he wasn't in my space I could have read the size myself on the arms, but he had his hand out so I gave the frames back. I considered other frames and said I was looking for them in a certain colour and he said they don't come in that colour. I showed him a photo of the exact same glasses online that DID come in that colour and he shrugged it off. I put my phone immediately back in my purse so that I could look at the display for other possible options, but for some reason, he kept picking up a sign that said no photos could be taken of any glasses. He would pick it up and set it down near me more than once, both times I was at the store. I don't know why and I don't know if he thought he was being subtle in case I took my phone back out of my purse. I did not ever attempt to photograph any of his products or his store. I was looking for something specific in a brand he sold, and was not concerned with the price. There are so many places to shop for glasses where the staff is welcoming and friendly and patient. Im pretty sure they will even let you take a photo of a frame to help you decide, if you wished. This is not one of those places.”Read moreShow less

“Walked into the store on friday last week regarding a fix. The fix involved putting a screw into my glass stem. The gentleman tells me to come back on monday cuz he has other customers to cater to, who were just merely looking around but still had more potential than someone who would need a fix that involves 5 bucks. Fair enough. Obviously not great service. But guess what i go to the optical store in westdale and the lady was super nice. Seemed like its family owned. Here’s the best part - i made a purchase worth 500 bucks from them. Only cuz you preferred the customers that had more potential. Never going back to phoenix. Let me describe phoenix in some other words - greedy, not customer friendly, cheap and definitely not great for students. Although my eyes could not get used to the multi-focal contact lenses, they ensured I received lenses that did work, even over the Christmas holidays!
