“These guys support the Homeless population consistently with clothing, food, and medical services when needed. They also provide groups for them to engage in and feel better about thekselves. Super friendly staff!”

“I was referred here and told I was eligible for dental services. However, after several days and dozens of attempts, I was still unable to book a single appointment. I called multiple times, and every single time the response was the same: “We can’t help you.” No explanation, no guidance, nothing. When I asked basic questions — like which doctors are available or what my options are — I received no clear answers at all. Instead, I was systematically ignored. Not once did anyone apologize or show even minimal professionalism. The attitude over the phone was rude, dismissive, and completely unacceptable. At one point, after asking about available doctors, they simply hung up on me. After that, my calls were no longer answered. This is absolutely unacceptable for any healthcare provider, especially one that is supposed to serve the community. The level of neglect, disrespect, and lack of basic communication is shocking. Places like this should be held accountable. Staff who treat patients this way should not be working in healthcare. “It has served Parkdale for years now. I've met some super swell team members in various roles. One concern I have had. It was met with defensiveness and denial of any accountability it responsibility. I retrieved about 14 bags premade kits for persons smoking substances. There were none for needles this time. The kits were strewn about the south side sidewalk beneath the tracks at Dufferin n ✓Qyeen intersection. Cut my hand on glass meth pipe. It was new, and there was no infection risk. Having reboxed these kits, broken or otherwise, back to their origins(I've volunteered at this site and familiar with the process and items) Reaching the front area of the centre, there was a woman sweeping the steps up to the front area by entrance. I told her the situation I didn't anticipate the response given-'bring it across the street n leave it by the benches'. Aghast at this suggestion...pass the buck? It was taken from the centre by clients, all but 100% certain. “I have been a client here for well over a decade and after experiencing more of their services, I thought I should write a review. Firstly, the Parkdale community is very diverse and I really appreciate the level of professionalism and calmness exhibited by the front desk staff at the medical desk. I must give credit to Melissa Abrams especially because not only is she super educated, she truly cares for her clients. I feel lucky to have her support through the health centre and as a member of the 5Ps at the satellite office. It might be a weird thing to say but I get happy before every appointment I attend with her. Seeing a health care professional isn't always a pleasant experience but with her it is. Whether it's good news or not, I feel confident that I will be supported in the right way. The PQWCHC is extremely lucky to have her.”Read moreShow less

“The harm reduction program caters to the Parkdale area and includes a bus service, satellite workers and safe consumption site. Update, the Safe Consumption Site has closed. There are so many programs here that the range of expertise plus the location means that the service is a necessary asset to the community. An art show featuring photos is on to reflect needs, challenges and obstacles street involved folks. Free running shoes event was yesterday. Just amazing to have a foot check, get shoes and lunch.”Read moreShow less

“I can’t say enough good things about Parkdale Dental Clinic! They have been incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating while caring for my mother, who has Alzheimer’s. Dr. Ahmad is outstanding—gentle, compassionate, and highly skilled. The reception staff, including Anu and the rest of the team, are always warm and welcoming, making scheduling easy and stress-free. The dental assistants are just as wonderful, ensuring my mom feels comfortable and cared for at every visit. Their kindness and professionalism make all the difference.
