I will never bring my wife back to this clinic. The receptionist was rude, condescending, and unprofessional. Booking was difficult, yet the clinic is quick to charge a $100 no-show fee and requires a credit card on file. These policies were not clearly explained to us. We arrived 15 minutes early, completed all requested paperwork, and still waited over 15 minutes past our appointment time. The mandatory flip-flops provided were heavily worn and in poor condition. While Mukta was polite, we did not feel the treatment provided any meaningful benefit to my wife. For the prices this clinic charges, the level of service is unacceptable. Save your money and look elsewhere.

I had high hopes for this clinic since it seems to be one of the only clinics that specializes in scoliosis. The first time I called, a gentleman answered the phone, asked for my name and number, and informed me that he would call me back to book my appointment. Unfortunately, I never received a callback. I assumed he may have forgotten, so I called again the following week. This time, a woman named Sophia answered. She apologized for the delay and was very polite, informative, and professional. She explained the pricing and treatment process thoroughly. Unfortunately, the clinic is quite expensive, especially for the initial assessment and follow-up appointments, which may be difficult to maintain without health insurance. Sophia mentioned she could book me in within two weeks, but I decided to call back once my insurance became active. About two weeks later, I called again and a different receptionist answered. She left me on hold for over 15 minutes, and I genuinely believe she forgot I was still on the line. I ended up hanging up and calling back myself. When she answered again, there was no apology. She simply stated that the clinic was very busy and that she could help me with booking. She then informed me there was now a three-month waiting list. I asked if she was the same woman I had spoken to previously, and she told me the other receptionist was no longer working there. She offered me a few appointment dates, but while I was still thinking about which date would work, she placed me on hold again. The interaction felt rushed and dismissive, as though I was being pressured to make a quick decision. When she returned, she mentioned there had been a cancellation and that it was “first come, first serve.” At that point, I felt disappointed enough to decide not to move forward with this clinic. It’s unfortunate because my initial experience with Sophia was excellent, but the newer front desk experience ultimately caused me to take my business elsewhere.

We’re incredibly fortunate to have Andrea Lebel—the first Schroth-certified physiotherapist in Canada—right here in Ottawa. Andrea taught me how to manage my condition, and ever since, I’ve been attending the adult posture class, now being led by Jenn. The class allows me to stay consistent with my exercises while having expert guidance to help me better understand my spinal curve and ensure I'm performing the movements correctly. This support has been essential in helping me maintain good posture and avoid back pain. All of this is done in a very nice friendly atmosphere which makes this routine so much easier to maintain.

We were more than happy to find Andrea and schroth therapy. We are a mother and son duo with scoliosis, my young son having severe early onset scoliosis and travel all the way from Montreal we believe in Andrea so much!

I can’t say enough about how kind, knowledgeable, and professional Andrea is. Her expertise in scoliosis physiotherapy and the way she worked with my 16-year-old son was truly above and beyond. After my son was diagnosed with a high-degree scoliosis curve, I had the opportunity to travel to Ottawa for an intensive treatment program. Despite her extremely busy schedule, Andrea was able to fit us in quickly. From the start, she took the time to understand my son’s lifestyle and needs, creating a personalized approach to his therapy. Her attention to detail was outstanding—she carefully monitored his air pressure, thoroughly reviewed his X-rays, and assessed his brace to ensure everything was aligned. She even used diagrams to explain the condition to him in a way he could understand, helping him take ownership of his treatment. Andrea’s combination of compassion, deep expertise, and flexibility made me incredibly grateful to have her as my son's therapist. Over just five days—with 3 to 4 hour per day—she brought noticeable improvements to his posture and physical balance. I continue to book online sessions with her, where she closely observes his exercises and provides guidance to ensure he performs them correctly. Andrea is truly a remarkable therapist, and I feel fortunate to have her involved in my son’s care.

My experience at the clinic was excellent! Sneha is professional, patient and empathetic. I had a treatment yesterday and have already felt some relief. Thank you

My experience with this clinic was utterly terrible. It started with my initial appointment a week or so ago. The night before I had a “Medical Emergency” and unable to keep my appointment with the clinic. Earlier this week I was feeling much better and so i called the clinic to make another appointment. I explained to the young lady who answered my call what happened. Her response stunned me. I was told that I should have called anyway to say I wouldn’t make my appointment. However, I still booked a session for physio today. The receptionist was less than cordial, no greeting or hello, nothing. When she did speak it was in a whisper with me asking her multiple times to speak up. Then, she insisted that I remove my shoes and put on a pair of flip flops that were visibly filthy. In addition, I take a size 12 shoe and none of the flip flops were even close to my size. I also have balance issues when walking and so being obligated to put on flip flops that didn’t fit me would increase my risk of falling. So given the utter disregard for my safety and the receptionists condescending attitude I walked out. In conclusion, I will be filing a formal complaint with the Ontario College Of Physiotherapists in Toronto.

April 2022--My final update would be that this place is a good option for physiotherapy. I received a variety of treatments including ultrasound, dry needling, manual manipulations and the TENS machine. I also received many exercises and stretches to help manage my symptoms. Jan 24, 2022 Ok so treatment here is consistently inconsistent. My last treatment had me feeling a little blown off again. I have a TENS machine at home and prefer not to have half of my visit used up with that. There has also been some confusion with my prescriptions for physio as there are 2 separate issues and 2 separate prescriptions. I have repeatedly tried to address it yet there still seems to be some confusion. Edited again Dec 24, 2021-today was another great experience there with a different therapist. Laudina is outstanding and there was some extra attention to detail with my care that made the visit exceptional Also worth mentioning is their receptionist who is a pleasure to deal with in booking, appointment reminders as well as general inquiries. Edited Dec 8-my visit this week which was the 3rd was less impressive to say the least. I was taken nearly 15 minutes late for my scheduled appointment and the time was not added to my session. I received some light touch therapy for a few minutes, the TENS machine was used and then I was asked to demonstrate the 2 exercises I had been given the week before,. I was told to continue those with the other 4 I had been given the first week. Hmmmm, kinda felt brushed off with this rendez vous. I feel very lucky to have found this place, more specifically to have my case managed by Mukta. Last week was my initial assessment and I was treated respectfully and professionally from start to finish. Today was more of the same and for the first time in a long time I feel like someone else really wants to help me feel better and live better. Thank you District Physiotherapy and Mukta.
