“My 2 year old (very shy) son had an injury on his eye and we couldn’t get in to see my doctor. Origin not only fit us in for a same day exam, the staff and doctor were so patient and amazing with him! We will be going here for all our future exams!!”

“We have been customers of origin optometry for some time. Needless to say our youngest needed an eye checkup and glasses. It was quite an experience and despite the many mind changes and issues of a kid experiencing glasses, Leesha was exceptional! She was patient, accommodating, and extremely helpful. We are very grateful for Origin, and our consistently exceptional experiences with both the optometrists and opticians have made us lifelong customers.”

“I was long overdue for an eye check-up, and my regular optometrist wasn’t available, so I called Origin. They got me in within a couple of days and even contacted my previous optometrist to have my files transferred the same day. They took care of everything - all I had to do was show up! 😄 First impression: the clinic was clean, spacious, and well lit. Hanna and Chelsea at the front desk welcomed me right away, they were friendly, efficient, and sweet enough to humor me while I showed them pictures of things I’d made. ❤️ Jess, who did the pre-testing, was friendly, professional and kind. She explained each test and what it was for, answered my questions, and made the whole process easy and comfortable. Dr. Odermatt had already reviewed my files before seeing me, and she took time to go over my history and test results in detail. I learned so much about my eyes that day! She explained things I’d never had clearly answered before. I never felt rushed, and she was incredibly patient. When it came time to pick out glasses, I wasn’t left to stare blankly at a wall of frames - Jess helped me to pick out ones that suited me, and soon Jodi and Julie jumped in to help too. It honestly felt like a fun little fashion show for my face! 😄 A few days later, I came back to be fitted for contacts. Delanie was great, she listened to my past concerns, helped me find a pair that felt comfortable. She explained about finding the balance between reading, and distance vision. Super helpful and knowledgeable. All in all, I had a fantastic experience at Origin Optometry. The staff are warm, professional, and genuinely helpful. “Happy and bright location - everyone is knowledgeable and helpful! Exam was thorough and caring. There was no sales push - I was able to bring some frames that I had and love - my progressive lenses are optimal - I can't wait to drive at night and in the rain - ( no- not really!) Give them a try if you want a different experience for your eyes and yourself! Thank you all!!”

“Good service. However, please be aware of price gouging. They are a small business and therefore aren’t backed by a larger corporation to offer more discounts. Eye exam was more than double to other local businesses so make sure you do your research and compare prices beforehand if that’s important to you. Yes they make have different technologies and qualifications but charging $245 for an exam when many other local companies are charging $125 seems absolutely outrageous. Again, do your research ahead of time if price is important to you .”

The office itself is modern, bright and very attractive. Dr. Allison Carter-Watson took great care of us and made us feel right at home . “I really appreciate the attention to detail which starts with the aesthetic of the storefront, with sliding mirrors revealing other frames; that along with the additional selection of frames in drawers all along the displayed frames made the experience of really seeing the features of each frame much more pleasant. The flow of my appointment with Dr. Petreman was also great and felt very thorough, in fact Origin Optometry was suggested to me by a colleague who was impressed with her eye exam, stating that it was the most thorough she had ever had. The technology as well as the the Dr. working with an assistant to collect data so that he can focus his attention on the client, was particularly impressive, and suggests to me that the business is 100% client focused, on providing an easy experience through something that isn’t always the most comfortable. I was truly impressed with the customer focus of the entire staff, and walked without with feeling pressured to buy frames there (perhaps other comments on here have helped with a softer approach); in fact I found it to be the perfect balance of being helped without feeling pressured. That being said, I will likely return to Origin for frames, as I really enjoyed the selection from funky to trendy to a nice fit. Well done, one of my more pleasant and memorable experiences with optometry, I haven’t checked my eyes in years cus I dread it so much.”
