Quite a few good things going for this place but tarnished by brusque and incompetent technicians (2 i encountered were blunt and borderline rude and one was nice / helpful) Did both eye exam and distance lenses here (with my own frame). Receptionist who attended for first half of eye exam was nice and friendly and Dr Gafur was also kind and took the time to explain tests and what they meant (doc appointment ran 10-15 minutes late due to previous customer) Spectacles were available for collection earlier than expected, but the technician was very blunt and unhelpful about it. She adjusted the nose pads upon request (unevenly adjusted), left finger prints on the spectacles after and just handed them to me with all the finger marks. The most ridiculous part was the lens wasn’t mounted onto frame properly (how could she not spot that or even checked after i said the vision felt weird) and i had to pop the lens on the right side into frame myself properly. The first technician i encountered when popping in to ask about the procedure had also an unfriendly, “what do you want” and impatient attitude. Second technician (day of exam) was good. Third technician experienced mentioned above. For a total of 400 cad for exam and single distance lenses, the entire experience was a bit lacking due to the technicians, which is unfortunate as they are the last touchpoint of the business. Would like to support more local businesses, but i rather take my chances in Vancouver next time. (Have worn glasses for close to 30 years and definitely found the technician attitude and service lacking here.)

I always leave feeling like my vision needs are genuinely understood. The time and care taken to find the right solution makes a real difference, and I never feel rushed or like just another appointment. Highly recommend.

Very professional staff. Went through a series of tests before seeing the doctor. She was very pleasant and competent. Then the doctor gave me a thorough explanation and explained things clearly. No long wait times, either.

Dr. Alisa was fantastic. I came in with an eye issue and after a few tests she knew exactly what it was and how to treat it. She’s very caring and knowledgeable. A pint sized dynamo!

I wouldn’t recommend this clinic for infant or child eye appointments. I waited nearly 40 minutes for what was supposed to be a 10-15 minute appointment with my baby. Eventually, I had to leave because it just wasn’t reasonable to wait that long with an infant and then have them examined while keeping the experience positive. I rebooked the next available first appointment of the morning, hoping that would avoid delays, but despite having a 9:00am appointment and arriving before the clinic doors were open, we were still left waiting another 20 minutes before being seen. At the rescheduled visit, the front desk staff were unfriendly, bordering on rude when I was checking out. I also discovered they had charged my insurance for the original appointment despite my being on time and not receiving the exam due to their delay, and then they were attempting to bill my insurance again for the same visit. When I said thank you while leaving, I was blatantly ignored. It’s disappointing because I’ve been a patient here for years and I really trust Dr. Bowden as he followed me after my PRK surgery. But given that they are charging above the fee guide for children’s eye exams which are meant to be free in BC (their own brochure displayed in the clinic even says that child eye exams are free!), I expected a much higher standard of care. I’d advise parents of babies or young children to go elsewhere as they don’t seem particularly interested in going the extra mile to make it a positive first experience for you or your child.

The staff are friendly, talented and make you feel relaxed. My appointment was with Dr. Ryan Trottier. I trust him and know I am in good hands, and my eyes are well taken care of. Thank you Optomeyes Squamish.

Great first visit. Quick and easy. Everything was explained and Dr. Victoria took time to make sure I understood each step. Highly recommend this location for the health of your eyes. Will be back in to shop for my glasses too as it looked like a great selection available

Excellent experience! The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the optometrist was very professional and thorough during the exam. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure all my questions were answered. The clinic was clean, organized, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend!
