“I went in for foot treatment with Amelia Martin at Optimum Health. I was nervous at first having not been there before and not knowing what to expect. Amelia was a consummate professional and made me feel relaxed and cared for immediately. Front reception was welcoming and I barely had to wait. “Optimum health is a wonderful hub of well-being practitioners locally in Fergus. I’ve worked with Katie now off and on for a number of years, and I’ve always found her to be compassionate, genuine and knowledgeable. I also appreciate that as a natural medicine practitioner she works collaboratively with other medical professions locally to ensure that patients receive the best care possible. “I have worked with Evelyn before, not at this organization but still one on one. I would very much discourage anyone from seeing her. She lacks compassion and insight. She is judgemental and repetitive. Not caring. Not an active listener. Not solution oriented. Not client centered. I very much doubt that she is truly versed and effective in treating trauma. She likes to blame the client if what she says works for everyone does not work on a specific individual. Has all the answers but funny enough was not helpful or caring. “I was hoping to find answers and a safe place to discuss my personal health issues. Unfortunately, this was not the place. I found Dr. Katie very forceful in her approach. I left feeling judged, ridiculed and put on the spot. I am very annoyed that I paid out of pocket to feel like a child being chastised. She did however recommend blood work and an ultrasound as my condition is far from normal (as my doctor stated) which I appreciated. But if you are hoping to find an actual “natural health” practitioner, I would suggest extending your search elsewhere.
