I recently began physiotherapy for a broken wrist at One Step Ahead Mobility. It is in my neighbourhood - only a very short walk from my home. It is my first physiotherapy experience (luckily!) The premises are clean and tidy, the front desk staff are extremely courteous and helpful. Adi Hadi was assigned to be my physiotherapist. Adi is pleasant, a good listener and the exercises he has taught me are proving helpful vis-a-vis the mobility and strength of my injured wrist. The reason for deducting one star is because without private insurance this therapy can come at a considerable cost.

A wonderful clinic! Ali has done more to heal my previously sprained ankle.and Parkinson’s stiffness in 3 sessions of physio than any dr has been able to do in a year. Vivien is a calm master at booking appointments. Now I’m beginning my LSVT journey with Aviva - a most knowledgeable, compassionate Parkinson’s specialist. Thank you Ali, Vivien and Aviva for helping me to move without pain again!

I was recently successfully treated by Jamshid Mohammadi for severe pain in my elbow. He designed a course of treatment that included several different modalities as well as exercises to do at home. I am now completely pain free and the arm is stronger than ever, reducing the likelihood of a recurrence. I am very grateful for the care I received.

I highly recommend Kasra for anyone seeking a knowledgeable and results-oriented physiotherapist. His mastery of anatomy and patient-centered approach truly set him apart. Kasra is incredibly thorough and uses a variety of effective treatments—including dry needling and deep tissue massage—to ensure meaningful pain relief. Beyond his technical skills, he is exceptionally patient and professional, taking the time to explain the 'why' behind every step of the recovery process. If you are looking for a clinician who is truly dedicated to your well-being, Kasra is the best choice.

No matter where you are in your Parkinson’s journey, it is extremely important that your current ability to move your body is assessed by a physiotherapist who specializes in the treatment of Parkinson’s. I have been in an exercise program for a year and a half and did not realize how stiff my body was until I was assessed by a physiotherapist who specializes in the treatment of Parkinson’s. I just completed the 16 session LSVT BIG physiotherapy program. As a result of this program and other exercises, prescribed by my physiotherapist; I’m able to walk further, not shuffle, I no longer have night time leg craps, I can sit and get up from a chair with ease, pick up things from the floor, get down and up from the floor, all important wins. To be clear, not everyone needs 16 sessions of physiotherapy to regain movement of their body. However, everyone needs to be assessed to understand what their body movement limitations are. Physiotherapy is not a once and done program. In order to gain the benefits of physiotherapy, one must follow their prescribed home exercise program on a daily basis. Depending on what your body movement challenges are, it is advisable to see your physiotherapist periodically during the year. Getting assessed by a physiotherapist that specializes in the treatment of Parkinson’s may be one of the most important actions that you take in fighting the progression of your Parkinson’s. Special thanks to my physiotherapist Aviva Lichtenstein for helping me Step Ahead.

I went to One Step Ahead Mobility for help with a badly locked neck, and the treatment has been unbelievably effective. Before I came in, I could barely turn my head or look down, but after working with Kasra (PT), and Jamuel (PTA), things started improving faster than expected. Kasra’s hands on work of acupuncture made a huge difference for my treatment, and his clear explanations not only helped me better understand my neck’s mobility and functions, but also helped me to be more aware of my daily life movements ensuring I avoid any further injuries. Dr. Saba, the chiropractor, made exactly the right adjustments, which gave me the freedom, pain relief, and drastic improvement after just one visit. Vivien made my visit felt welcoming, smooth, organized, and stress-free. Overall, thanks to the whole team, my neck injury healed fully within just a few days after a single visit, and I feel like I’ve turned a great corner. I’m genuinely grateful to One Step Ahead Mobility, and highly recommend them to anyone who wants to be seen by expert professionals and see real and fast results.
