“If you live in Downtown, I highly recommend visiting this eyewear store. When I went there, Karen helped me find the perfect frame I really liked. She was very patient, kind, and took her time with me without any rush. All the staff there are also very nice and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. They have a beautiful selection of glasses with very reasonable prices. I was honestly surprised because I had compared a few other shops before, and even when I saw similar designs, the prices here were much more affordable. Overall, it’s a great place if you’re looking for stylish glasses, good quality, and friendly service. Definitely worth checking out The designer has thought of every detail. The flat-folding case is incredibly practical it fits easily in a pocket or small bag, unlike bulky traditional cases. “I was in the market for glasses on the Queen St W strip in Toronto. I visited Bailey Nelson, Clearly and Ollie Quinn in that order, as they are stores known for reasonably priced frames with decent styles; and they all did have some nice frames, at similar prices; but it was Chris at Ollie Quinn that made the difference! I learned later that he has been an optician for about 8 years, and his experience paid off! As he worked with me to find the right glasses, as all shop attendants do, he was the only one to ask to see my prescription first as OQ was having a lens and frame bundle sale for Black Friday. I have a very rare prescription, which often leads to very expensive glasses even after discounted frames. Even though he told me that they had a limited selection in my desired price point, and he successfully kept me in the store. As we worked through each step of the sales process, I expected to hear increasingly bad news about how much these glasses were going to take food off the table so that I could see what little I could buy after paying for glasses. To my surprise and delight, and this is also to OQ’s credit, there were more discounts still so that the out-the-door final price was a lot less than the competition given my special prescription, so much so that I decided to also go for the photo chromatic option. Chris was friendly, experienced, patient, low pressure, knowledgeable and intelligent! I find this blend of qualities in retail employees, sadly, increasingly rare. “Second time I've gotten glasses here! Andres helped me and he was great, their prices are very reasonable compared to other glasses places while still being cute. I've definitely damaged the frame of one of them and brought them in for a quick fix so I could keep using them until I got the new ones. “These glasses are low quality and they do not stand behind their product enough. I bought 3 prescription glasses at the same time because I thought they were a good deal. Attached is a picture of what happened to the lenses of the sunglasses. The lenses have degenerated and have lines all over them. The store refused to do anything about it because they said they were out of warranty. While that is true, the fact is that they are only about 4 years old and I have never had sunglasses do that before. The other 2 pairs of prescription glasses I bought are also of poor quality. My computer glasses scratched easily, and I don't even take them anywhere except for sitting on my desk. Again, they just shrugged and said they were out of warranty. With respect to the 3rd set of perscription glasses that I got from there, the prescription is off and I cannot see as clearly with them as I can see with other glasses I have that are the same prescription. I took them back to Ollie Quinn three times to complain, within the warranty period, but they said that there is nothing wrong. But they are not as clear as other glasses I have, so that makes no sense. The bottom line is, I purchased glasses from there because I thought they looked good and I could save money (since I typically spend more money at another store), but it was not worth it. I have 3 pairs that I am not happy with, so I completely wasted my money. The quality of the lenses are poor. Maybe they use cheaper quality lenses than glasses that I purchased elsewhere.
