“Before my treatment with Okanagan Vision Therapy, I didn't even know that vision therapy existed, but now I tell everyone about it! Loretta and Dr. Walker gave me exceptional care, not only addressing the physical struggles I was dealing with from my concussion, but the mental strain as well. They treated me with empathy and kindness, and explained every step of treatment to me so I could understand why I was feeling certain symptoms and what we could do to fix them. The amount of knowledge the whole team had was incredible, and it was so helpful to learn about vision therapy and how it applied to my specific symptoms. Everyone was extremely kind and professional, including the admin team. Jessica and Sherri were always happy to help however they could. “I admit I was skeptical at first, but my son's headaches went away after a month of having regular sessions and his vision continued to improve until the end of our time there! Ashley is the BEST! She is amazing with kids and SO helpful and supportive. We completed 15 sessions and my sons vision issues GREATLY improved and they set you up for a few months maintenance (for free if you need or want it) afterwards which is super helpful. I was actually shocked how well this worked for him and he actually came to enjoy going to his little sessions every week. As a busy working mom I was dreading doing this weekly with him as our schedule is already hectic, but I actually found it quite a peaceful environment to sit and catch up on emails/texts and listen to my son be immersed in this wonderfully supportive and imaginative environment. “We took our 8 year old daughter here to pick out her first pair of glasses and we were so happy with the level of care we received. “Going into vision therapy, we didn't know what to expect. We had recently discovered our son's vision issues and were exploring vision therapy as a way to improve his vision. The doctors at Okanagan Vision Therapy in Kelowna were friendly and thorough in their assessments. They gave us a lot of information and answered all of my (many) questions. They were optimistic about the potential to see improvement in our son's vision but still realistic about possible outcomes. Vision Therapy was far more fun than my son expected. His time in the office was filled with fun activities and games and didn't feel like a chore. He was sent home with a plan for exercises to do at home between sessions, it was minimal and not hard to fit into our routine. We had a few sessions with Koby who was personable, friendly, and brought a lot of fun energy to the sessions. My son really enjoyed him. But we did most of our sessions with Ashley. I cannot say enough good things about her! She was a cheerleader for my son, encouraging him in every visit and he always left smiling and feeling great. Her encouragement kept him motivated to keep practicing during the week and I didn't have to nag him! She truly makes every effort to make the Vernon office feel like the most welcoming and amazing space. She is gentle and kind as well and enthusiastic and encouraging! As to the therapy itself, we have seen improvement in ways we didn't think were possible. So I can wholeheartedly say that it has been a great experience and I would recommend Okanagan Vision Therapy to anyone considering Vision Therapy as an option.”Read moreShow less

“Dr. Paul Rollett is genuinely exceptional. From the moment I met him, he made me feel comfortable, heard, and in very capable hands. His chairside manner is outstanding—warm, calm, and reassuring—and it’s clear he truly cares about his patients as people, not just appointments. He took the time to walk me through what he was seeing, explain things in a way that actually made sense, and check in to make sure I understood and felt confident about the plan. That kind of patience and consideration is rare. 10 years in the medical field and I have seen a wide range of clinician–patient communication. “I first saw Dr. Walker at his optometry business and was recommended for vision therapy due to my persistent dizziness, visual and migraine symptoms. The team at Okanagan Vision Therapy was incredible, from my initial assessment with Dr. Rollett, support from my neurovision trainer Koby and the admin team Sheri - everyone made me feel supported and my symptoms along with a new prescription and weekly therapy sessions drastically improved my symptoms and vision.
