“I had my eyes checked here last year and I was put on a wait list for cataract surgery by opthomologist. Since than I had my operation and was not happy with the results. I came back to see what was the problem and get it checked. After they checkedi was informed that the surgery was not successful and I could ask for a correction surgery which i did. They charged me for this visit. They said it was my yearly checkup and it cost about $150 and government pays for $47 or something so they insisted for me to pay for $104. My visit was not a regular check up. Few weeks later my husband went for routine eye check up to another location and paid half of what I paid. I have both the receipts to prove it. I just want to know does every clinic charge what ever they want or is there a going rate?”

“A wonderful place filled with kind and caring staff. They repaired my glasses as the nose pad was lost on one side and the other side fell off. I highly recommend them as they have a great selection if you need to purchase new frames! Will definitely visit them again.”

“Not happy with our visit. I found receptionist extremely rude. She had an attitude and was obviously annoyed as we were late for our appointment. This was then followed up with the doctor being very rude questioning did you not learn to wash your face when you were 5 years old. When questioned she said I told you 3 times weren’t you listening. The exam was done really quick and did not feel thorough. At the end she said next time cancel your appointment so they can reschedule. There was no intention to cancel the appointment, we forgot about it. Got phone call reminding us , we apologized and rushed to get to the appointment as soon as we could. After this experience I wished we hadn’t bothered, we will not be going back.”

“**Google Review** My family and I have been patients here for over 10 years, but the experience has noticeably declined since FYI Doctors took over. Recently I tried to order contact lenses over the phone — a simple transaction I've done many times before. My insurance was run and there was a small balance owing, but instead of letting me pay when the order arrived (as had always been the case), I was told I had to pay before the order could be placed. FYI Doctors policy. I wanted to use debit, not credit. With their limited hours (closed Sunday and Monday) and a busy week, the earliest I could get in was Tuesday. I made the trip, and the insurance system was down. No order could be processed. The staff weren't unkind, but the policies are inflexible and the experience felt impersonal. If I wanted to be treated like a number I'd just go to Costco. I hope the clinic finds a way to balance corporate policy with patient relationships — it used to be a real strength here.”

“I’ve been a patient here for a number of years, and a patient of Dr. Anderson’s for longer, and have been happy with the services received, until my most recent visit. Dr. Anderson was rude (late and unapologetic) and then gave me attitude about her perceived notion of my health status, despite the information I provided. The staff were otherwise great, but I definitely won’t be returning for more of that same treatment by Dr. Anderson.”

“We were in Kelowna for a softball tournament when my daughter broke her glasses late Friday night. They were not repairable, and we had no idea what we were going to do. FYI Doctors was the first place I called Saturday morning. They actually answered about 15 minutes before opening, and Jas immediately stepped in to help. He checked what they had in stock and offered to edge lenses on the spot to make her a new pair. He absolutely did not have to do that, but he did. Within a short time, Lizzie had brand new glasses that fit perfectly and were very reasonably priced. What could have been a really stressful weekend turned into the complete opposite. She did not miss a single game and was back on the field pitching with her team. I do not think Jas knew anything about the tournament or how important it was. I am so grateful for the care, kindness, and quick help. I would absolutely recommend Jas, Lisa and the team at FYI Doctors, and I will be looking for them again in the future.”

“I absolutely love Dr. Bree Anderson! I've needed glasses since I was very young, so I have met a lot of optometrists over the years. Dr. Anderson is personable, knowledgeable, and caring. She really took the time to explain everything thoroughly and helped get me a great pair of glasses. Highly recommend!!”
