“I wish I had gone to a different dentist. I had a perfectly healthy tooth chipped during treatment (either during a filling here or a root canal with the specialist I was referred to—I had both appointments back-to-back, so I don’t know where it happened). At my next visit, a filling left one of my teeth so sharp that I kept biting my tongue while eating and talking. I went back the next day, pointed out the exact spot multiple times, but they insisted it was part of the filling, not my tooth. My new dentist confirmed it was my tooth and fixed it in under 5 minutes. I was even told maybe I was just imagining it. During the freezing for my lower fillings, I had severe throbbing pain in my jaw and ear. I reported it right away but was told it shouldn’t hurt there. It’s been over a week, I still can’t chew, yawn or talk without pain, and my new dentist is referring me to an oral surgeon. Instead of getting better, have my cavities filled, I left with way worst pain, have a perfectly find tooth (messed) chipped & filled, another tooth smoothed out short that doesn’t even feel same anymore, one of my upper fillings need fixing too at a very small spot as per my new dentist and it does feel so when I touch it with my tongue. I understand mistakes happen, but not repeatedly with the same patient. I could’ve reported this to the BC College of Oral Health Professionals, but I believe in second chances. If I end up needing further treatment because of these issues, I won’t hesitate to file a complaint.”Read moreShow less
