“I remember once watching a sci-fi episode (the series was called Supernatural) where the young man (Dean) is suddenly old. He starts complaining about all his sudden aches and pains, so his older counterpart (Bobby) tells him to stop complaining and get used to normal life as a senior. For several reasons, my everyday aches and pains became a bit more than I could bear, and I had run out of allopathic solutions. So, I hesitantly decided to try Traditional Chinese Medicine for the first time. Robert had excellent reviews and was nearby. He patiently and thoroughly asked questions to identify my problems, my symptoms and my concerns. He quickly checked my pulse (on both wrists) and took a photo of my tongue. Then he suggested that my issues would be better served by TCM herbal medicine, rather than acupuncture. He made no promises. He said that the approach involved some testing and tweaking. Each week he fine tuned my “tea” ingredients based on the symptoms I experienced. As my problems improved, and they did improve noticeably, I started gaining confidence in TCM. So, I added other issues to my list of requests. For some requests, Robert said he could not help me, but for most, he said he would try. Over weeks, many of my symptoms improved, a few did not, and several problems I had not mentioned to Robert, improved. When something seemed slightly worse, he would immediately tweak the ingredients, and I would see improvements. My primary complaint was constant lower back pain over many, many years. My back pain did reduce noticeably. Robert said improvements are not always permanent. If the pain returns, I can return for more treatment. After almost six months since I stopped TCM treatment, I have no need to return for additional treatment for my back pain. Overall, many aspects of my health have markedly improved thanks to Robert and TCM. Each week during treatment, Robert gave me a list of the ingredients in the tea. He was calm and knowledgeable. His answers to my constant questions were measured and thoughtful. The TCM I experienced does not require constant, ongoing treatment. If any of my problems do recur, I would not hesitate to contact Robert for additional treatment. Without a doubt, Robert has proven to me that TCM works, and works well.
