Rude staff , absolutely horrible customer service. They heavily pressure you to buy glasses from them , it made me really uncomfortable.

I’ve been trying to call for the last 2 days and nobody gets back to me. A receptionist puts me on hold for 10 min and it goes straight to voicemail again! Left 2 messages. How does one get service here?

I had my progressive glasses done at this location twice. The sale service was ok, but the guy that doing measurement was so bad, he was grumpy, and so unfocused with his client and service. He always looked at someone, and something else when he was doing my measurements. The price of the glasses was not cheap, I paid $900 for a pair of basic progressive glasses. The vision was uncomfortable and felt dizzy all the time. He told me because of new glassese it takes time to get used to it. Having it for about one year, I could not stand it any more. I took the same prescription to make another pair elsewhere, it cost me $435 and I could see it so much better right away. I will NEVER go back to this place anymore.

Terrible service !! They provide an appointment at 9:45am. I arrived at 9:30am doors slightly opened, had to announce myself through the cracked open doors. No one greeted me or let me in to sit and graciously wait for my appointment. Instead left me behind the doors waiting while theu are sitting at reception chatting, sitting and having thier coffee. DISGUSTING SERVICE I WILL NEVER COME BACK.

We received excellent service for the repair of our glasses. The woman (director) was very professional, kind and helpful. She was patient and she took the time to properly repair the glasses. I would recommend New Look at Galerie d'Anjou. Thank you!

Served by Sabrina, most excellent awesome service ever! I was lacking patience and incapable of making a decision. She swooped in to the rescue! Phenomenal smile, kindness and great advice. Definitely recommend. If for some strange reason the universe gives me an eyeglass store, I'm stealing her from New Look Eyewear. Merci pour le service exceptionnel!

Rude staff. I went to get lenses installed. No "Hello, Welcome, how can we help". When I was redirected to the Adjustment counter, I was simply greeted with an annoyed "Yes?". When I explained my situation the male worker huffed and said "I could've gotten a heads up" and acted like it was such an inconvenience when I am the customer simply there by reference from another Newlook branch. After an hour of waiting for the new lenses to be installed, the male worker did not even ask how it fits or said a polite "Goodbye, thank you" or any other simple polite customer service etiquette. Really disappointed with the service.

Fantastic service from the optometrist Dr. Tran. Haven't had as kind or as professional an optometrist from the places I'd gone to in the past. Everything was done fast and efficient, and I was done in mere minutes with all of his many tests. The pre-test lady was also very nice. The selection of glasses was excellent. As I am a hands-on worker, I chose two-for-one glasses, and when it came time to pay, they honoured the two for one. I think the choosing of the glasses for gender could be easier, as you have to read fine-print to see the H for man, like a blue tag instead of a red could be easier to find stuff that would better suit me... but then some snoot would call them gender-biased and blah blah so I'll not dock a star or anything. All in all, I actually thoroughly enjoyed the majority of the services offered. The receptionist lady does not seem happy at her job. She did try to upsell the heck out of me, asking if I use computers, then immediately stating she'll add blue-light blocking (I have no issues with blue-light, no migraines, nothing), stuff like that, but I let her have that one for the future, in case I do develop such an issue. When I declined the extremely expensive transition lenses you could see her face visibly change from a smile to something like she'd lost a commission, and back to a three-quarter smile while I explained that I work at Metro, it is not a high-paying job, and I don't drive or spend much time in the sun travelling so it isn't a priority to me. I did specify scratch-resistant lenses because of the physical nature of my work. I did not see it, or AR on my bill, but after checking the newlook site, it seems the AR and IR are built into the same lense coating for Newlook, and they make it sound excellent. After getting over the lack of the transition lenses, everything went back to smooth and she seemed to go back to normal, and all progressed well. I am now waiting on my glasses to arrive. I will go back here, I do like their services, and I don't expect everyone who works in customer service to have the friendliest behaviour, only to try their best, and they did just that. Edit: Returned, got my new glasses. They adjusted them very quickly and efficiently, and while putting on my glasses I could see the quality of their lenses- my world got more 3D and even normal colours popped more. Smiles and good service. Definitely recommend.

I've had so many negative experiences here that I cannot justify going back. First of all, I wanted to try contact lenses back in 2021, so they informed me they had to order a pair and would call me once they received them. Guess what? I never received a phone call. When I called them weeks later to find out what happened, they said that due to the pandemic they could not allow me to try contact lenses with one of the staff there because according to them, the room was too small (??). What a waste of time. Also, while Dr. Tran is a kind optometrist, he misdiagnosed my eyelid condition. I went back not once, twice but THREE times for him to simply give me the same treatments. Meanwhile, my condition was getting worse. He then said he'd refer me to a clinic to get surgery but it's one year later and I haven't heard from this clinic? I gave up and went to another place where the optometrist gave me a proper diagnosis (I had blepharitis and chalazia) and immediately referred me to a clinic for surgery. I got an appointment for surgery a couple of months later. Finally, the lady at the reception for the eye exams is VERY rude here. I don't know how she has a job! She's an older woman with glasses and short hair.. she is very cold towards customers. I've heard her complain about customers under her breath, swearing, and also make phone calls to her family members while she is on the job. Complete lack of professionalism!! Should not be working in the public!!

After spending over one thousand five hundred dollars on tests and glasses for my daughters, I regret having ever come to this optometrist. From employees (Valery and Lidia) being rude and aggressive on the phone while I try to book an appointment to pick up their glasses. Very disappointed on the customer service, spent the money and continue to be mistreated while I try to pick up my daughters glasses. What happened to good customer service? Never again coming back to New look at the Galeries d’Anjou.
