my mom was admitted for 3 falls because of adema in her legs. we were hoping for a cathetre to help drain her legs so shed take her water pills properly. while in emerge sge was neglected, forced to wear a brief, not changed for 5, 6 , 12 hrs, they would answer her bell and leave saying they needed to find help and not come back for hrs, my mom also was not" used to lying down. they kept a woman who was full of water lying down and neglected for hrs because of weight. on top of that adr visited her at midnight discussing a DNR on her file, my mom said " i dont want to discuss this now, it was midnight and shed had no sleep in 3 days. He put it on her file, he illegally took it apon hself to put it on her file. we asked forupdayes sinse we kept missing the dr, they didnt call. i had 2 phone calls in 5 weeks so far. so i was not told the dr changed her status. after a week in emerge, she was moved to first floor where she was treated just as poorly. hrs inbetween changes, never had hrr call bell within reach, the care aids wete all rude, short dnotty. i didnt find any of the care aids nice. most of the nurses were ok. every desk person was snotty. no one answered questions, had answers, noth places always had her in almost completely lying down position. even at meals they didnt reposition her, she wax practacally lying down to eat and drink, i kept trying to position her, kept adkjng for help, asking how to usethebed buttons. they ignored my help, my questions, hrs inbeyweek boosting her to a sitting position. always going on about her weight.

After relocating from Ontario I had a bad fall last March and had to go for x-rays. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Then in December after a screening mammogram I had further studies and an immediate core biopsy. Again I was treated so nicely. After confirmation of breast cancer I was referred to a surgeon and was very concerned regarding getting surgery in a timely fashion given the backlog due to Covid. I was so grateful that I was booked yesterday for surgery and everything went well. All of the staff were incredibly kind and so many of the surgical staff came and introduced themselves prior to my surgery. I am also very impressed to be able to access my reports online. My healthcare here has been wonderful!

Anybody care to comment on the physical abuse by a security guard on a terminally ill patient today? Shall we look at the video and photos of the bloody mess he made?

big shout out to the emergency staff and nurses when I came nov 2 2020 I have been suffering a really bad infected broken tooth. sadly I didnt have anyone to watch my 4 kids nor did I have the ability to wait for one in the amount of pain I was In. my kids were behaving and taking care of the younger sibling as I was in tears. one lady came and asked if she could take my kids to watch a movie with some juice and snacks so I could just relax abit before being seen. everyone was very sympathetic, checked on me regularly. once I was seen I was given a nerve blocker to help manage my pain. thank you so much for helping me with my children. I know it wasn't the best circumstance having to bring my kids during covid and I was so worried I would be judged but they gave me nothing but support and sympathy.

I visited NGRH for the first time. I came here to have a thumb fracture taking care of. The admission nurse was rude, lacking empathy and compassion. On top of that, they were extremely unorganized at the admission desk. Rather than taking care of the people in the waiting area, several people stood around staring at a screen and chatting. After having an x-ray taken, the doctor came to me and told me that my thumb could be broken. Pretty sad to see a doctor that can not even determine if a bone is fractured after having looked at the results of the x-ray. Rather than providing me with a splint, the doctor was just going to send me on my way. I basically had to almost beg to be given a splint. Not really impressed at all with the environment of this hospital.
