“I've been experiencing chronic lower back and neck pain for more than three years and it has had a huge impact on my quality of life. My doctor ordered an MRI last year that showed degenerative disc disease and a bulging disc, but basically just told me to take Advil, exercise more, and sit less. The problem is, I have to sit all day for my job, Advil barely helps, and I *had* always been super active until the pain became so bad that it prevented me from doing most of the things I used to do for exercise. By the time I came to Mount Royal Village Chiropractic a few weeks ago, I had been feeling pretty hopeless for a while. I'm only 40 but I was legitimately worried I'd end up needing assistance just to walk in the next few years, and I'd basically given up on ever sleeping comfortably again. I'm now kicking myself for not going to a chiropractor sooner! I spent my entire initial assessment with Dr. Pat trying not to cry because he was so kind and empathetic to my struggles with chronic pain. It felt like someone was finally listening to me and validating me. He confirmed that I did have some major misalignment issues with my spine, but he had so much confidence that he could help me that I left the clinic feeling hopeful for the first time in ages. I actually did go home and cry after the first adjustment because it was such a release, and relief. The changes since then have been nothing short of miraculous! I've been going for adjustments three times a week and had already seen a lot of improvement, but yesterday he popped something in my spine back into place that I swear had been out of alignment for three and a half years. The pain disappeared instantaneously and today when I woke up it was still gone. I know some people feel skeptical of chiropractic and question why so many appointments are needed - and if all you've got is a little twinge you may only need to go a couple of times - but if you're like me and things have been off for years, it can take work and time to get it all back into place and keep it there. I'm not exaggerating when I say that coming to this clinic has been life-changing for me! I would highly recommend Dr. Pat, as well as the other practitioners at Mount Royal. I have done both physio and massage as a complement to my chiropractic treatments and they have been fantastic as well. If you are sick of living with back pain and haven't been able to find anyone to help you, go to this clinic! You, like me, will be kicking yourself for not doing it sooner!”Read moreShow less

“I was initially a bit reluctant to go to my first appointment with Dr. Maguire at Mount Royal Village Family Chiropractic, Acupuncture & Massage, but I am so incredibly glad that I did. He took the time to thoroughly examine me and clearly explain my posture before even starting the first adjustment. It was immediately clear that Dr. Maguire knows exactly what he's doing. In just three chiropractic appointments over five days, my back and neck pain went from a debilitating 8/10 to a manageable 2/10! Before seeing Dr. Maguire, even simple tasks and falling asleep were difficult due to the pain. Now, I feel like I have my life back, completely without the need for any pain medication. From the very first visit, he's made such a positive impact—not just on his health, but on his confidence and happiness too. Our son literally skips into his appointments and has the biggest smile on his face the entire time. Dr. Pat takes the time to explain everything in a kid-friendly way, and it's clear he genuinely cares. He's been helping our son with bedwetting issues, and we've already seen amazing progress. It's been such a relief and joy to find someone who combines expertise with such kindness and understanding. The whole team at the clinic is amazing. The ladies at the front desk are so warm and welcoming—they’ve taken the time to get to know our son and make him feel so comfortable. Scheduling is super flexible and communication is always easy. Since I was already bringing my son, I decided to start seeing Dr. Pat myself—and I am so glad I did. I have a very physical job and I’m the mom of three kids, so my body has definitely been through a lot.
