Here in the summer - which is the off season - for this resort. Reasonable prices, beautiful cabins/chalets. Rustic, but comfortable. We made this a summer destination. Most people drive past for bigger centers, but you should stop and stay. All lodging is in log cabins/chalets/buildings. Some are wheelchair accessible.

We stayed during the summer months so out of season and the price for the room was very reasonable. But the family were split on how much they enjoyed their stay - it was pretty and the lake was great, but the mosquitoes did limit our enjoyment quite a bit (clearly not the hotels fault). Aside from the mosquitoes, room was quite nice although small (we did book the cheapest room though). No real atmosphere in the summer as it’s out of season. Hubby gave this place a 5 and I’d give it a 3, so for fairness, ended up scoring it 4!

We stayed there in summer which is not a skiing season. It is generally good except a couple of things. 1. The TV cannot be connected. We tried more than 10 mins and then gave up. 2. The mosquitoes are aggressive. We got numerous bites throughout the night. Guests need to be very careful when open or close the door. Do that quickly and watch mosquitoes. 3. The last and the worst, the air conditioning/fan cannot be turned off. The control panel/thermostat can only adjust the temperature, but not turning off. I called the front desk at mid night, sorry about that but I had to, and was told that only the technician can adjust since he/she locked the control panel. For the entire night, I had to put ear plugs on my both ears and barely slept for 2 ~ 3 hours.

We are on our way to Alaska and planned on staying here for two nights. Perfect place to stay about 1/2 way to our destination. Never having been here before, all we can say is WOW! How beautiful and comfortable our stay was! We actually didn’t leave our cabin as much as we should have but our comfort and view outside our windows were the best. Those snow capped mountains all around us are why I am sure the helicopter skiing is here. The young lady at the front desk of the reception area is the best. Though we were there only two nights, I felt like we were friends! Her miniature dachshund was so cute.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was genuinely disappointing because I feel we were misled. One of the main reasons my partner and I chose Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing Resort was because the Deluxe Room on Booking.com was advertised as having mountain views. My partner and I both love mountain scenery, and having a room with a view was the deciding factor in booking this property. To make absolutely sure, I called the resort after making my reservation. I spoke with an associate named Sam, who assured me she had moved us to a room with mountain views. Wanting to be certain, I called again the following day to reconfirm. After receiving that confirmation, I felt confident enough to extend our stay from two nights to three. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the room had no mountain view whatsoever. The window looked directly into a cluster of trees, and there was essentially no view at all. It was incredibly disappointing after the assurances we had been given. I contacted the supervisor/manager immediately, but the response was simply along the lines of, “I don’t know what to say. There are no mountain views.” That response was frustrating because it completely contradicted both the Booking.com listing and the assurances I had received over the phone. Walking around the property, it was obvious that some rooms do have mountain views, making the situation even more confusing. I’ve taken screenshots of the Booking.com room description showing that mountain views were advertised, as well as photos of the actual view from our room, so other guests can judge for themselves. To make matters worse, we also found reddish stains on the comforter and bedsheets, which I photographed as well. While the room was otherwise clean, that’s simply not something guests should encounter. The resort itself is in a beautiful, peaceful location and the grounds are well maintained, which is why I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1. Be aware, however, that the mosquitoes during our stay were relentless—you could barely spend a few minutes outside without heavy bug spray. The biggest disappointment wasn’t the lack of a mountain view itself—it was being promised one multiple times, relying on those promises when extending our stay, and then being told there was nothing that could be done. Sadly, we left feeling that we had paid for something we never received. Unless management acknowledges what happened and makes a genuine effort to make it right, we won’t be returning. We sincerely hope the resort reviews how it advertises its rooms and communicates with guests so others don’t have the same experience.

I booked the deluxe double room. It was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. I had a great stay.

We accidentally booked this place on our way to Jasper, and honestly didn’t want to leave. Beautiful and well-kept property, with amazing views of the mountains and lake. You can see the staff really care and are always working to make the place even better for guests. The room was spotless and very well thought out. Special thank you to Sam at the front desk — she was so kind, welcoming, and patiently answered all of our questions. Thank you for such a great atmosphere and service. We would definitely love to come back!

Went for a wedding on the grounds. Stayed in the beaver dam lodge. Fantastic stay! Saw some salmon in river as well close to the area.

This place is the bees knees! Staying here on our way to Shuswap and wishing we stayed more nights. The rooms are full log cabin chalets! There is a lake with a full sand beach in the mountains ! and lots of walking trails. A restaurant, and unreal views. Friendly staff and lots of room for activities for the Fam. This is going to be our stop every year. I've driven past this place countless times and am so glad we finally stopped. A total hidden gem. 10/10
